I really want to try this.
When I curl my lashes with an eyelash curler, makes such a difference to my appearance, and I so love the look
But using that manual curler is so tedious, and takes me quite a while to curl, as i have long lashes, but VERY straight.
I am a little concerned about the chemicals they use to do this, I have chatted with a beauty salon, but of course, they will promote the product and not tell you all the issues associated with
I certainky dont want to risk my eyes, for a cosmetic treatment, but if the risk is very low, may consider,
Anyone here have any issues with eyelash perm?
Or did it work well, with no side effects???
Warm Regards

I have ramrod straight lashes too and have tried eyelash perming. The perming solution used is basically similar to the one that's being used to perm hair. It's very safe. Well your beautician should be experienced enough to ensure the solution doesn't touch your eyelids.
I've not experienced this myself, but I've heard of others who have had lashes more prone to breaking or falling off after the perm. It might have been due to the perming solution being too strong or they were doing the perming too frequently.
What I didn't like about my permed lashes was that they started straightening out at different speed. So after about 2 weeks of nicely curled lashes, some turned straight, some half-straight, and some were still curled. I still had to use an eyelash curler. I think they all straightened out after about 4 weeks. Overall I would consider getting it done for an important occasion, it's otherwise difficult keeping my lashes curled till the end of the day with conventional methods. But not regularly. |
