Does any body have a diy recipe for an Alpha Lipoic Acid and Q10 cream?
I would like to use these two ingredients but cant seem to find a recipe without a lot of other actives. |

I use those two in my SS...but that doesn't help you does it?
What do you want to make? A serum?
From the ground up do you want to build it? or
In a base cream?
They are both oil soluble and pretty easy to work with...depends what you want to make. |

Ideally i would like to put them in a base cream.
Would i dissolve them in say a small amount of jojoba oil before adding to a base cream? |

That would work. Don't cook them though. Gently warmed oil is all you need.
ALA 1-5% <-- room temp and keep stirring, as it will clump.
CoQ10 ~ 1%
..of total.
A little Poly80 will marry the lot generally, just depends on the base cream.
The end product will be orange if you use enough Co-Q 10. |

I purchased a great serum from bare earth cosmetics that contains both of those actives.
Without having formulated a serum containing both these actives in it before based on information that can be found online that it should be an easy task to simply just add the two ingredients to a standard base serum/cream.
Also make sure not to over use either of the actives when formulating. |
