Do you mean:
Would you spend $100 on a lipstick?
- OR -
Are there lipsticks that cost $100?
Personally I would never spend $100 on a lipstick as I just see that as extortion  |

I'm sure there are some that cost more than that.
Some people spend $500 on a body lotion.
So maybe those same people would buy it?
Personally I would rather spend my money on other things.
I also tend to like the more natural lip products and most are not in that price range.
Doubt I'd spend more than $30.
I actually have a $75 lip gloss here and I do not care for it that much, it is ok.
I did not pay that much for it- it came in a set I bought.
I know there is Armani lipsticks for around $60 I see a lot in magazines. |

| There's no way I'd pay that much no matter how much money I have. I can't fathom what could warrant that price to get me to buy it over others a lot less expensive that I absolutely adore. |

Just wanted to add I know people that are millionaires and well off and they would not even spend that on a lipstick.
But then again it is a free country and you can spend your money on what you want. |

I never wore lipsticks, only cheap glosses before my work mandated a particular colour as compulsory uniform. So I went on a hunt and tried every red lipstick known to man. The only one that suited my skin tone was a high-end brand and it cost $70! I bought it and have never looked back. I now own five of these $70 lipsticks. Why? Two reasons....
The formula is simply fantastic and I mean that. I never wore lipstick before because I hated the feel of it and it always dried my lips out. This one doesn't and it feels nice on.
If it's something I'm not buying a lot of, I like to buy quality and I don't doubt the quality of this product. There is no dupe for it that I'm aware of in either colour or formulation and since a lipstick lasts so long I will not waste my time scouring the earth and wasting lots of money trying to find it.
Sometimes cheap is very expensive. You can waste a lot of money trying to find a dupe, you can also waste your time which is a lot more valuable than money. I'm constantly amazed by some people I know who will baulk at buying the product they really want because it's $50. But they'll happily go out and buy $50 worth of cheap alternative stuff they use once then throw away. Where is the logic in that?
My policy of buy quality and buy once means I can afford expensive lipsticks and skin care too. I usually have more money than my cheapskate friends who fritter theirs away chasing the next great 'best buy'. |
