I've played around with making creams, adding actives to ready-made products, and making make up in the past.
I have some pure titanium dioxide and was wondering if I could add it to one of the ready made skin active creams as a sunscreen for light exposure (ie just going from my car to the building) days
I already posted on the recent Skin Biology day cover thread that 10-15% t.d. should yield about an SPF of 15, which I think would be perfect. |

I've made my own. Prefer to use a base cream and add coated zinc oxide to it. This is what I use:
25% zinc oxide
10% oils of choice
5% polysorbate 80
60% base cream (Eucerin or Cerave)
You must mix it with a hand blender to be sure the zinc is dispersed. I use this on my body with good results.
I've not used titanium dioxide though. |
