i looked it up and it has nothing to do with animal hair in the dictionary. so what is it exactly? the look or the type of bristles or what? i am going to buy one off ebay but gee whiz they are expensive for such a tiny thing! the one i am looking at is only 2 inches tall(the whole thing) and 1 1/8 in wide. is this big enough for foundation? thanks for any help! |

The word 'kabuki' has nothing to do with animal hair but the BE Kabuki brush is made with sable hair. A sable being a small furry animal. Make-up brushes can be made from sable, badger and pony - maybe even other types of animals. Of course, there are synthetic options available on the market too.

Tracy - check out the A'Squirrel kabuki brushes. They're really good.
ps. Kabuki is a traditional Japanese opera/theater I think (the one where their faces are made up to look white with really red cheeks, lips etc) |
