I've been on the hunt for a good cleanser that doesn't have sodium laureth sulfate in it that is widely available and cheap.
Someone recommended Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy wash. I'll post the ingredients so hopefully you all can tell me if it looks ok or not!! Not sure on the ingredient in bold.
Appreciate your help:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Acrylates Copolymer, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Sodium Benzoate, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Polyquaternium-7, Tetrasodium EDTA, PEG-45M, Benzaldehyde. May Also Contain Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid. |

I guess it depends on how sensitive your skin is... Paula's Choice gives a lot of things "thumbs up" that I wouldn't dream of putting anywhere near my face. |

Why are you wanting to avoid sodium laureth sulphate and not the harsher sodium lauryl sulphate, or any other sulphate surfactant? When you say good cleanser do you mean good foaming cleanser?
I wouldn't use that product as I have mild atopic eczema/ contact dermatitis so even very dilute amounts of sulphates can be a trigger. If you are more concerned about dehydration than irritation it may be fine because a gentler surfactant cocoamidopropyl betaine is higher up the list. |

I really don't have a problem with any of the ingredients but want to try and avoid the dehydration especially with winter coming. Thanks for the responses! |

Maybe buy a bar of goat milk soap or a natural olive oil soap.
I used to have a olive oil soap bar from a Moroccan store, but no idea where I can get that exact one now (store closed).
But I think if you use any all natural soap that has alot of oils in it, it is supposed to be good for you. |

Then why not choose an oil-based lotion instead of a foaming/ surfactant product? Lotions can still be washed off with a gentle cloth if you like the feel of water-cleansed skin. |

I would suggest adjusting your moisturizer as opposed to your cleanser if you're worried about drying. Finding a moisturizer is more important because it actually stays on your face to hydrate your skin - something thick like CeraVe would be great too |
