Thanks, ladies.
Forgot one question - did your skin feel rough at first? My skin doesn't look any worse than it did, but it feels markedly rougher. Hoping it's temporary and new skin is underneath. My skin does feel tighter, more like when younger, even though not really seeing any difference yet. |

Yes it feels kind of like sandpaper. You also get little specks that look like dirt. This is the sun spots on your skin breaking up. Some members use a product called Cure to exfoliate the rough skin off. |

My skin always looks like that after treatment, I give it a rest for 2-3 days then exfoliate. I bought Cure on Ebay but you can get it on Amazon too. |

Took a break from reaura for some professional IPL photo facials. Had my first one today. Next one in December. I can say that I definitely love the reaura, it has changed the overall look of my skin and is definitely worth the price. Can't wait to get back into it after my IPL. I'm going to try and incorporate my retin-a in as well. |

Ordered some Avene Thermal Water on eBay and I used it tonight after a treatment, right before the after care. Felt really good and soothed my skin pretty nicely. Will definitely keep the thermal water in stock during these treatments. |

Update, since after tonight I'll be at the 50% mark...
I really appreciate all the comments, because I honestly think I would have stopped after the first week or two because I didn't see any change. In fact, think I looked worse, much worse!
But over the past few days, I feel like my skin seems a little "brighter" and my forehead, which had only gotten bad recently, looks a bit smoother.
My eyes - under and crowsfeet - still look pretty bad. I also haven't seen any difference in my hands, although I've only been doing them for 3.5 weeks. I'm hopeful that more treatments will improve the areas that haven't yet.
I also haven't done much exfoliation, other than a few times with a Clarisonic, even though I have a microdermabrasion machine. I need to learn how to use it, and in conjunction with the Reaura. One thing to say for the Reaura - the how to video is excellent and got me to start using it right away. Well, that and the price it cost! |

Hang in there. My undereye area always looks bad during my treatments. It starts looking better a couple of weeks after the treatments are over. You can always take a couple of treatments off from the undereye area if it gets too bad. |

Just did another treatment 5 minutes ago. I really like Avene thermal water afterward. Really calms it down. Then I apply after care.
It's funny, lately I've been admiring my skin and thinking how good it looks. Has a healthy glow and the overall texture looks more refined. I haven't used my Reaura in over a month and a half, I had stopped for a professional IPL treatment.
It's got to be the Reaura that has made my skin look great. But since I hadn't used it, I was wondering why my skin was looking so good lately. My skin must have finally recovered and renewed itself from the initial treatments that I did with the Reaura. My forehead wrinkles seem heavily reduced, probably the biggest thing I noticed. My under eye area looks pretty good too.
I am impressed with this thing, and I hope it holds up for years to come. I feel like if I'm not reversing time, I'm at least freezing it. |

The little laser wounds created by the ReAura stimulate collagen development. While you will see the surface exfoliation results fairly soon, the collagen development results take much more time. I remember when I got Fraxel many years ago, they said it would take 6 months to a year to see full results. |

Is anyone using actives after a ReAura treatment? I have been using pretty much the same actives I do after doing a dermaroll or Merbe session. I figure the laser create small "holes" like a dermaroll. I might as well take advantage of that time. I have been using Epione medical barrier cream after the active and it is working well. It is easier to get then the ReAura after treatment cream and I like it better. If you have sensitive skin the actives route may not work for you because it might irritate your skin too much. |

Thanks Bethany! Makes me feel even more optimistic about this thing!
Forgot to mention, I ordered Dermalogica's Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque on eBay. $58.00 for 6oz. Expensive, but a lot of product. I just washed my face and applied a thin layer. It says it rejuvenates damaged skin and enhances barrier properties. Has vit A,C,E,F. I'm going to start doing a mask the day of my treatment. Really feels good on the skin.
I still wonder when the Reaura will be offered in the US. I want to be able to order new gel from a US distributor. |

Glad to hear this. I'm not seeing any diff after 5 weeks although I did miss one week due to work. In fact, I thought one wrinkle had gone away, then it popped up again. #hoping this works |

No problem, and yes, give it some time! This machine isn't going to work instant magic, it's something you have to keep up with and maintain and it's of course not going to give you salon-like results, but over time I think it will. I know my skin looks better because of the Reaura. The only other thing I did to my face was a professional IPL but it only really targeted mostly a few broken caps on the bridge of my nose. I have a 2nd IPL the first week of December to zap the caps again. But I am so happy I have the Reaura and I love how redness subsides so quickly afterward. It's crazy how long the US takes to approve things. The Reaura has been out for what, 1-2 years now and it's STILL not approved for US distribution (same situation with the TRIA), come on, people in the US need gadgets too! |

Hi there, i would be very grateful for some advise please, before i invest in the ReAura, has anyone used it on skin that has previously been exposed to a laser, as about 12 years ago i had the old type laser treatment, in office type and it left me with scarring and pigmentation, my question is do you think the ReAura would help this or make it worse. Also has it caused anyone to breakout in spots? As if i use anything new i do tend to have breakouts, i.e i had to stop using the Obaji system as my skin become absolutely awful, also does the ReAura tighten the skin on the neck and help age spots on the hands, thank you in advance for any help and advise. |

I had both the old CO2 ablative laser and many Fraxel treatments before using the ReAura. the ablative laser had a lot of downtime, but for me it was a very successful treatment; I am sorry to hear you were scarred. It is IS very dependant on the skill and experience of the operator, and I lucked out with a very good doctor. The Fraxel treatments did help somewhat with tone and texture and elimination of sun spots, but the ReAura with its lower energy output and more frequent treatments has worked much better for my skin. I am now in my sixth round of treatments, and even half way through the first cycle I started getting compliments on my skin. I am a freckly redhead and have now the beautiful creamy pink skin I always wanted. I do not think it removes wrinkles, but it definitely improves skin texture and removes freckles, sunspots and actinic keratosis. You don't have to use the expensive gel, plain glycerin works just fine.
I think ReAura is one of those gadgets that really does work if you have the problems it claims to alleviate, but don't expect super wrinkle reduction. I will never be without one - honestly I feel it improves the health of my skin with each use.

These are old photos now, 3 treatments ago, but I think you can see how effective it is. That is 60 year old skin you are seeing after 2 treatments, except for the arms which have had only one treatment. I have since started with Tua Trend and that has to a large extent corrected the facial asymmetry, as well. We are so lucky to be living in this day and age. |

You 2 are too kind!
I use many of the protocols suggested in this forum:
MyM derma pen
vitamin C serum (make my own)
Rx vitamin A cream
diligent use of sunscreen and parasol
Dr. Pickert's Protect and Restore
I also do my own filler and botox injections. I believe over time the filler is needed less and less but it does seem to make the skin moister. I paid a doctor to give me botox for over ten years (that's $700 X 4 per year), so my main reason for DIY is the price saving. Not recommended unless you are prepared to study a lot beforehand and review anatomy before every injection. I've been happy with the results and could not have done it without the help of my online DIY buddies.
And I LOVE the Tua Trend, which was very kindly passed on to me by a member of EDS. This device has been so effective in replumping the mouth area that I probably will not need to use filler there anymore. It has transformed my belief in ones ability to regain the face of youth. At this point I use it more as a prompt, adding extra contraction for the duration of the pulse and for the number of counts.
I am sure that something new will come along to drain my purse, though. Everyone needs a hobby! |

Hello mismis
Thank you so much with sharing all your beauty tips, i so wish i could administer my own filler it would save me a fortune, but i just do not have the knowledge, sorry for all the questions but is the ReAura, one of your must haves or would you recommend something else for pigmentation, uneven skin tone on face, age spots on hands and lower arms and i would like to tighten jaw line, neck a bit, all your help is greatly appreciated, you are 11 years older than i, and i can now see we don't have to get old gracefully, i have hope again in my fight to look younger, you look fabulous. |

It is a MUST HAVE - for me, BUT everyone's skin is different. Haven't noticed that it tightens the skin (sorry, trying to be honest) or that it lifts. But it is totally brilliant for sun-induced pigment damage. You can see in the pictures how it corrected the large actinic keratosis on my cheek. It is my understanding that lasers may actually make melasma pigmentation issues worse.
For the sagging, facial exercise works. The Tua got me started, but I should add that I also do Carolyns Facial Fitness when I have a little more time. I think it may be even MORE effective, and IMO training my facial muscles has helped my appearance as much as the fillers, etc.
There is one "before" in that batch of pictures, so you can what changes have been effected by filler, I am sorry if you thought they were because of the ReAura. The pigment and texture changes are due to this fabulous little device.
Too early to say, but I think in the long run the MyM may have some possibility of tightening. It is hard to say which does what when using a multi-pronged approacgh, but at my age I cannot afford the time for scientific method. All I know is that my skin has not looked this good since my early 30's. |

I got mine on ebid.net (similar to eBay, but sometimes cheaper as the seller fees are less).
There is one posted currently from the same seller I purchased from.

It is a significant investment, but cheaper than in-office procedures. Works well for pigmentation issues. |

Thanks Shasta...with the holidays, I'll probably wait until after the first of the year. Big investment. I just ordered a Foreo Luna...lol
I have pigmentation issues for sure. I had the Palovera done and I did see a lot of differences, but, it is expensive to a doc's office. I may have to sell my NuFace, hardly used it anyway. |
