A couple of you good people mentioned you had tried the ReAura device under the immediate eye area. Did anyone continue and get positive results? Did you spend less time on the area? Thank you! |
Hi puddlelover, I did do my immediate under eye area for a good part of the 2 rounds I did on my face. It is by far the area I have the most wrinkles and sag from eye bags. I have seen a very small improvement in that area. It does look worse during the treatment. (very crinkly) I don't do as many passes with the laser under my eye because of the skin being thinner there. |

Thanks Cookie! I have just invested and have done two face treatments so far!
I may do a little under the eyes. Elsewhere I have found it it be fine - the redness fades pretty much overnight. I went stright to level three. I was nervous the first time I put it to my skin, but it soon was easy to use (except the hands-too knobbly!) I may try extra gel there. The first time I did my neck it lost contact several times, but the next time I used more gel and the contact was easier to maintain |

Thanks Keilu-I will try that-more moisturiser!Even so I will continue-ever hopeful-and I have seen benefits to facial skin-less pores and more even colour.I too have used both filler and tox during treatment period and have not noticed any detrimental effects on either!Should you continue treatments during summer months-obviously with appropriate sun protection? |

I'm in week 6 and will continue to do this at least once a week after my 8 week required run. Yes my skin after week 4 looked a bit crinkly but that was just the flaky stage I think. No loss of fat or filler. I've not seen my skin look this good in ages. |

I'm nearly done with my hands and neck and got brave to use setting 3 now. So far, so good and isn't much different than 2. When I'm done, I'll take a few weeks off and do another round on my face and bump that up to level 3. I love my ReAura...still love it from when I first got it. |

I'm into round 3 of reaura-ing, and thinking I'll run out of the post laser moisturiser that comes from phillips, soon. I'm wondering if anyone has experimented with any different post treatment moisturiser.
SpaceNK sells the gel, but not the post - treatment, which I guess needs to be gotten direct from phillips.
I'm only on session 4 of round 3, still going red and dry, but skin evenness and reduction in lines and sun damage is a joy.I've been using yamuna lately, and that, combined with the laser is very rejuvenating. |

I stopped using the after treatment lotion a while ago. I decided I didn't want to calm down the inflammation (that thinking relates to needling protocol). I also was a little concerned about applying something that is creamy because I suffer from SH.
Instead, I try to apply something which has peptides or growth factors. But the after burning sensation doesn't bother me and I think my skin is becoming more and more resilient.
In addition, with the various salon laser treatments I've had, I've never been given anything calming to apply - they usually just recommend petroleum jelly. |

Keliu, in terms of results, can you compare the ReAura with Dermarolling? If such a comparison can be done, of course. |

Well I'm doing both so I don't know whether I can compare!
IMO the ReAura is less painful than needling and I believe you can do it more regularly. If you're going to use the longer needle lengths you should only be doing around six treatments once or twice a year. The ReAura can be used on an ongoing basis as long as you take appropriate rest periods.
With both methods you are abrading the skin to encourage the growth of collagen and elastin - so the methodology is similar. Except that the laser will leave your skin more susceptible to sun exposure. |

Thank you to those who contacted me privately. For others here, did any of you take before and after shots prior to and after the initial 8 week period?
After the initial 8 week period, how often do you use the device?
I am thinking of incorporating it into my currently schedule. I now do the dermal needling once every 4-5 weeks.
As much as I don't like to admit it, the automated needling is giving me much quicker results than the manual needling- more so on the glabullar (eek, spelling) lines than the forehead lines. I find the forehead lines are very resistant.
I plan to take photos soon.
Thanks, BFG |

Hello there! First time poster, though I have been reading for a while ...
Is there anywhere on the site where devices are rated? I am particularly interested to see how many people have tried ReAura (Since it is not sold through "neutral" resellers ...) and how they would rate it on a scale of say, 1-10
Thanks |

Hi jumper, welcome to EDS. There isn't any place on EDS where there is a 1 to 10 rating scale of devices.
If you read through the ReAura thread you will see that I think most people are really pleased with their ReAura device. I would definitely rate mine a 10. It is one of the best gadgets I have bought. Very easy to use and I see results.
One of EDS members named PhotoQueen does independent reviews on a lot of different gadgets. They are very well done and most informative. He has done one on both the ReAura and the Tria you might want to check out.
Here is his site:

Keliu, I also stopped using the after treatment cream to avoid reducing inflammation. I do like it though, and then used it as a barrier repair cream after I finished a 4 week cycle. |

Bethany, did you use anything at all after treatment?
Keliu, do you use anything at all, or petroleum jelly? |

No, I'm not using petroleum jelly - and I'm not using anything special. Just whatever serum I have on hand that has good ingredients, be that growth factors or peptides. |

Love reading this thread even though I don't own the ReAura *dreaming*.
But I did just come across a new one on eBay for $1,399.00 with $65 shipping from the UK.
Yikes!
Is that pretty much the normal price for it? |

They are 799 pounds at SpaceNK in the UK. With today's exchange rate that is $1243.00 |

Pinot, I just bought one from that guy on ebay! I go pick it up at the UPS office tonight. It's been a nightmare trying to get it from UPS because I'm not home during the day to sign for it, and then if flew through UK customs but got briefly hung up by the FDA in the U.S.(go figure!) so delivery date got switched a couple of times (which prevented changing shipment to my work address in a timely manner so I could sign for it). But Zed (the seller) has been great. He does ship overnight for that amount of shipping money, so if it doesn't get hung up by bureaucracy it should get to you the day after he sends it. I highly recommend him. We had a little trouble at first because he wanted ID since the item was so expensive, and I wasn't going to send my personal info overseas, but we worked it out. He's just wary of being scammed over the internet...as am I.
I suspect the extra cost on ebay over the regular UK price if you purchased in a store there is to cover VAT and whatever other little fees the gov't bureaucraps like to add on to purchases like this, particularly if they're going to or coming from overseas. I still have to pay some $35.00 U.S. tax at the UPS office but I want it so bad I don't care. LOL |

Surely, if we use a serum, for example a vitamin C product, with a home fractional laser, as with the dermaroller; the laser will assist with deep product penetration?
What do we all think?

Definitely - the laser creates micro chanels just like a needling device does. That's why I like to apply a serum with growth factors or peptides directly after a treatment. Personally, I think Vit C would sting too much - but I do apply it the next morning. |

Pq, let us know what you use and how it goes for you. When my phillips product runs out I'd like to experiment with something else. As of now, I dont have a peptide treatment product..while using the laser I just use hydration creams to counteract the dryness, and then in between laser treatments I use eluage, so I need to find out what would be a good thing to use.. like you I am in the uk, and like you I am a tkmaxx fan for finding skincare products! |

Will do.
I am going to TKMax for a look for peptide serums, I use the CACI peptide serum at the moment, but would like to find something a little more affordable to use with the Tria/ReAura.
Might see you there!
