Hi
I have just spent ages trying to find recipes for shaving oil for men & women. I found a post online referring to some great recipes in here yet for some reason I cannot find them.
Each search has returned gazillions of entries with the word shave in so im obviously doding something wrong..
Thanks in advance for your time

I've never used an oil to shave with, however, wouldn't any plant oil do the job. Maybe, Almond, Apricot, Olive or any combination. Maybe incorporate some Tea Tree Oil for its antiseptic qualities. |

Wouldn't oil gum up/clog your razers? I wonder if borrowing from DragoN's rinse off ocm recipe and throwing in some Polysorbate 20 or 80 would fix that. |

I use plain old unrefined coconut oil for shaving, it works a treat. I dont have a problem with it clogging my razors. I used to have a problem with myhair clogging the razor but with coconut oil it rinses away easily under warm water. If you are wanting it to have more a balm consistency then mix it with about cocoa butter, pour it into a silicon mufkfin pan. Cool and pop out your shaving bars. |
