If I want to make a 10% or 20% Vitamin C serum, only with water.

How much l-asorbic powder do I need to use and how much distilled water?

I want to make a daily batch.

Many thanks in advance!

Denise, from Holland.

Edit: I see some recipes on the internet, but I wonder if I have to replace the 5ml glycerin with water or just leave it out...

If you mix LAA and distilled water you will end up with a toner/water solution rather than a silky serum.
I cant remember the exact percentages but i think there is a recipe on the activeextracts website.
I used water and LAA with good effect in the past. Just be ready to give your skin a break for a few days if need be, it can be quite harsh using it daily.

I'm using 1/2 tsp LAA with 2 tsp distilled water. Not sure, but I think it's close to a 20% concentration. Don't like to mix too much up at once so it won't go bad. Been using it pretty regularly without any problems (and I have fair sensitive skin). However, if after a few days straight I may get a little dry and just use an oil or something a little more emollient instead.

Did you find the answer to your question yet? I have tried using the same 2 ingredients, only I used a 2:1 ratio of water to Vitamin C. My face tolerates it but I don't know if that's too high a percentage for optimum penetration into the skin. I've also seen a recipe for a 1:1 ratio, so I'm really confused.
