What do you mean by skin tone - hyperpigmentation, high colour or something else? |

Lactic acid is good for hyperpigmentation; you can either do a series of light peels or use a daily cream containing a low percentage. Alternatives include a serum containing L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or a retinol/ retinoid (vitamin A). Which you choose would depend on your skintype and any other goals - lactic acid is best for sensitive or dry skin, vitamin C/ A if you are concerned about ageing. If you have quite robust skin you can work up to a combination of these actives.
Hopefully you already use sunblock daily? |

Firefox has given some very good advise. YOu can also try MUAC's Fade peel. It's a mild peel and you have to do atlest 6-8 peels. Hope it helps. |

Those are all good suggestions, but I wonder if acids are necessary right off the bat.
ercam68, have you tried any other methods of exfoliation yet? The first time I used a cleansing brush, my face brightened considerably, along with lots of stubborn discoloration which I thought was hyperpigmentation. A microfibre cloth, or gentle fruit, yogurt or even asperin mask might be worth trying first? |
