I am light/medium complexion with nornmal/dry skin. I am looking for a tinted spf to wear under my bare minerals foundation. Any recommendations would be great!
Thanks,

Lori, I have tried Revision Intellishade SPF 45 at my dermatologist's office and really loved it.

Ditto, love this stuff!
My esthetician used it on me after a facial/microdermabrasion and I had to buy it for myself being so fair and prone to sun damage.
Revision Skincare Intellishade SPF 45 Original Anti-aging Tinted Moisturizer (sells here on EDS)
and it will match perfectly! |

The Neocutis Journee is also great. It is expensive though. |

And I have dry skin too. I wore this non-stop for 8 days in Playa at my son's wedding, worked great in humidity. |

Why is the price on any Revision product so secretive? Call for price is listed on all websites I have visited. Is this company special or stupid? |

Seems like I paid around 40-45.00 for mine when I bought from the derm, which I still have some left. I have not orded yet from EDS but had planned to. |

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer spf 20 is a great tinted cream! It's too heavy for my oily skin, but it's very nice if you have normal/dry skin. |

Thanks to EDS giving me a $50 prize I plan on ordering the Revision. I stopped by Macy's yesterday and got samples of the Origins Vita Zing and one from Lancome and I have the Elta MD one on order. I do plan on trying/getting Laura Mercier but I am going to wait and get it when I go to The Big City and stop in at Sephora so I can hopefully get the right color. |

I have the elta as well and use it when I am at the beach and especially on my nose. It is heavier and I do use makeup over it get the right shade.
The revision I can use as makeup and it hydrates, love that. |

I second the MVO, full protection plus tint looked nice on my combination skin.Good physical sunscreen too which I like. The Invisible zinc has one too but the texture is just aweful.I wear the non tinted one.
The big con for me with the MVO was the smell. I dont know if I got a bad one but it smells like olives. I cant stand the smell so no longer wear it.Did any one else find this?
I've tried lancome (better for dry skins), Dermalogica, laura mercier (regular and oil free) TMs. They are nice but just found I wasn't happy with the fact that they dont protect the full spectrum of UV rays. Infact most don't.
Jane Iredale has a nice one too, but I didnt like the smell either and I don't think it was full spectrum, unless you added the powder on top afterwards. There is a brand called true solutions which is nice for fair- med skin tones. It has chemical filters but I dont mind that. That's a good broad spectrum one with a nice creamy texture.
Otherwise what I do now is mix my sunscreen with foundation (I use a shade darker with foundation as it lightens when I mix with sunscreen to get a better effect). But I only do this when I want something light sheer and quick without needing to add a full face of makeup. Also I can do this as I always need to purchase two shades in foundations as I find Im in between shades. Otherwise I wouldnt waste my money.
I just havn't found something that can do everything all in one: Moisture, good solid protection, & tint.
Damn that MVO smell ... otherwise I would totally be calling it my HG product....
I'm so interested in this Revision Skincare Intellishade SPF 45 I've never heard of it before. Apparently it uses physical UV blockers( zinc and TDioxide). Does any one know the percentages and if they are micronised? I cant seem to find an ingredient list?
Anyway HTHs |

I actually like the MVO smell! It is kinda herbaly so it's not for everyone. I heard of a few others that also didn't like it.
They have a newer product, with SPF20 - maybe that has a different smell? I've not tried it. |

People who are interested in full-spectrum protection should look into 100 Pure Tinted Moisturizer. It's consistently well-reviewed. Probably more suited for light/medium complexions as the lightest shade is still too dark for fair complexions (which is why I don't use it).
Ingredients: Pigments of Peach, Apricot, Carrot, Pomegranate, Cocoa Bean, Goji Berry and Tomato, White Tea, Cucumber Juice, Aloe Juice, Acai Oil and Pomegranate Oil, Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), Rice Starch, Candelilla Wax, Extracts of Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Grapefruit Seed, Japanese Honeysuckle, Goldenseal and Cinnamon
SUNSCREEN ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 15% Titanium Dioxide and 10% Zinc Oxide
I do use Laura Mercier Oil free Tinted Moisturizer. I always apply it on top of my sunscreen and would never dream of relying on only it for sun protection. It's weird- I tried the oil-free and the regular moisturizer and the regular porcelain colour was much, much darker than the oil free porcelain. Go figure. |

I sooo wish they didn't put retinyl variations into sunscreen! Controversy on whether this it is safe to use when in the sun.

HI, the tinted moisturizer from Nuskin is very nice and is reasonably priced. It features microprism powders to impart an even, healthy glow. It is oil-free. |

I would prefer not having it in the sunscreen, as well. However, I have talked to Dr. Fernandes (Environ) about this and he feels that the RP is photo-protective. I trust him, so I am not too concerned! Also, this is so far down on the ingredient list in the Revision product that I don't think it would present a problem. |

Talking to self.....Self, you know you have too many products and a very bad memory when the item you plan on ordering is in your "products you don't like box."
Geeze Louise, I scare myself sometimes. |

I went ahead and bought the Revision sunscreen. Thanks to grevay and AnnieR for recommending it. I was hesitant since it was not a completely physical sunscreen and I was worried my skin might react poorly to the chemicals. It is really lovely, leaves such a glowy look to the skin and my face doesn't feel like I am wearing anything! |
