I am asian and have fair skin complexion. I diy my c serum with added rosehip oil. Each time i make abt 20ml and it lasts for abt 2 weeks. I find that every night abt 10 mins after i apply my c serum,my face turns yellowish not so serious though. it goes back to normal the next morning. My Q is : is this a telltale sign that vit c is anti oxidizing on my skin ? Does it do any good or bad to my skin ? Does anyone have any idea ? |

Which form of vitamin C are you using - ascorbic acid, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate or another? What products do you use before and/ or after you apply the serum and are you adhering to the appropriate wait times? |

I use l-ascorbic acid. I just melt c powder in my hydrosol and add rosehip oil which is yellowish. After cleaning my face, i apply c serum and sometimes my also DIY vit b5 serum followed by my daily moisturiser of my daily choice. I dont follow the wait rule and have no idea of it. I just know the wait time apply to application of retin-a but not c serum. |

If the Rosehip Oil is yellowish - wouldn't that be what is causing the yellow tinge to your skin?
From how you describe and your application method, I wouldn't worry about it. |
