Lucky dip I believe Very Happy
does raise the possibility that a spammer may win...though I am sure there are safeguards!

Indeed - winners are randomly chosen but if a spammer is involved then I draw another name instead. It's starting to get a bit tedious now that the forum is becomming more and more busy. Being the geek that I am, I'm thinking of writting a random number generator and an app that will pull names off posts in a given date range (and eliminate duplicates) Rolling Eyes The first bit is easy, the second not so.

Does that mean you have to sit there and and go through each post, write down the names, scribble out the duplicates, and then do the draw?? That must take hours Shock Poor Mabsy Sad

just curious though, does one have to be regular EDS shopper or has been buying from EDS for quite sometime? What about those who just enjoy coming to this forum, share ideas/suggestions and also picking up some good points on different kinds of products to use, are they eligible to be a part of the random drawing? thanks.

Hi Dabawenya! I'm sure you don't have to be a shopper, nor do you have to be a member for a long time...I was here for a very short time, had never shopped at EDS - and I was a winner!

So, your number of posts doesn't affect your chances of winning? It seems to me that some people who join the board 'flood' the forums with lots of posts in order to increase their chances of winning. Anxious
On the other hand, you probably get some people signing up to the board and then never taking part (maybe a couple of token posts at the start). Just sitting tight and waiting for their name to be picked.
Sorry, just my suspicious mind at work again. Silenced Embarassed

I have posted alot......it's been great for me - it takes me away from my day job (tee-hee)and, quite frankly - it's just a "great" board -- there aren't good skincare boards out there -- I was floored when I found this one...."Maybe" the number of posts is a considering factor, I don't know (Toe, I DID wonder myself...)...but - I won TWICE inside of two weeks.....one might suspect that I was picked the first time -- but a second time? -- so soon? Frankly, I almost felt guilty!Shock - I don't think anyone would "pick" me twice inside of two weeks on purpose! Know what I mean? I thought they had made a mistake! I even emailed Caspers Mum cuz I thought maybe the voucher code she had given me was the same as the last one I had received - I thought a mistake had been made! Lucky me - no mistake was made! Great stuff!!! Very Happy

Oh no, I didn't think that the moderators actually pick the winner. It's done via the computer. I just thought the program could somehow be triggered to select the most prolific poster for that week in that particular forum.
Like you say, it must be a coincidence.

Cindi - Nearly 300 posts in 2 weeks, that's got to be an EDS record! Laughing

At home, Cindibloke is loving it cause he gets to play on the Playstation 2 without getting any earache from me Laughing
The only down sider is Im getting to bed later and later each night. I find the night time are when there is fewer people on board. Im limiting myself to ONE HOUR tonight Cool

Sad
Well I can't use the internet at work anymore as I got a 'first and final' warning (after 10 yrs of loyal service)....only I was targetted...everyone else is okay to abuse it as much as they like. I hope the team leader that had it in for me breaks out in severe cystic pustules all over her body....and then I will pray for world peace.
Very Happy

In the mean time I get my daily fix of forums at home.

And in answer to this thread....DDMF...excellent.
Dr H cleansing cream...just not getting the hang of that one, not sure how to do the whole pressing/rubbing thing, I just end up massaging it all over my face and neck.
Smells a lot like the jurlique moor mask.

This is such a sweet adjunct to a helpful, well informed forum. I thoroughly enjoy reading through the threads and sharing in this community. i have been a member since Dec 2008, but have only recently become an active participant. It has definitely influenced my purchases and made me more confident in my decisions.
Thank you all.
