I'm trying to assist my grandmother in a journey to younger looking skin. I created a regimen of cleansing, toning, (applying retin-a sometimes) and moisturizing for her. However, I am not very knowledgeable about anti-aging. I would love some advice as to what products to get, when to apply, and even a regimen if possible. She has age spots (quite a few of them), deep-set wrinkles, dark circles, and jowles. Please help! D: |

The two ingredients that have the most science behind them are Retin A and Vitamin C. I recommend a good Vitamin C product in the morning (I love Skinceuticals C E Ferulic) and Retin A at night. Ideally you have to get to the point where you can use the Retin A every night for at least a year for you to see the best results. Then you can back off usage. Start with the lowest concentration of Retin A and use it every other night or every two nights and work up to using it every night. Then you might want to consider increasing the strength of the Retin A. Do a search on the forum for Retin A and you'll get lots of advice on using RA. The Vitamin C will help with the age spots and the RA will help with the wrinkles. |
