I would like to add this massage to my Ageless If We Dare workout, but am confused about how long it should take. I've heard others here mention that it should take about 3 minutes to do it. But on youtube there are 4 videos on this, one continuing after the other, and it would seem like this massage would take much longer than 3 minutes to complete.

Which video gives the 3 minute version? It would seem to be the second one where the model herself it doing the massage, but the massage then continues on to video 3.

It is all very confusing. Confused Also, is this meant to be done daily or only a few times a week?

The video takes longer because a. there are two versions shown, one where Tanaka does the massage on a model, and the other where the model does the massage herself and b. time is taken to show movements and explain things. The movements themselves take only about 3 min. once you're familiar with the routine.

Thanks, that clears up a lot of confusion. Smile

Okay, thank you both. I guess I'd better get to familiarizing myself with it. Wink

Bumping up to ask again...does this need to be done daily or every other day or so to be effective?

Sandooch,
I double up the Tanaka with OCM, I use an emulsified OCM so it's a breeze to wash off and massage/ cleanse at the same time.

I use both daily.

I feel silly for asking, but what is OCM? I'm thinking over-the-counter moisturizer?

The Oil Cleansing Method
Dempeaux also writes about it on her blog. She uses the emulsified version as I do. Much much easier and far more gentle on the skin. I believe she is doing the Tanaka/ OCM combo as well. Kills two birds with one stone.
