Hi, I'm new to the forum but have purchased from EDS before. I'm looking at getting a couple of new cleansers. I have blemish prone combo skin (sometimes v. oily & yuck) that is pale and can be sensitive. I have some red marks from past blemishes.

I was using MDForm CLeanser for Sensitive Skin, but ran out a couple of months ago. It was OK. I'm looking at getting a cleanser to help my blemishes for use once a day, then a gentler cleanser for night time use. But there are so many options!

I was looking at cleansers from MD Form, Dermalogica, Decleor Cleansing Gel, Yonka Gel Nettoyant, Bioelements (Has anyone used this brand?) or Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream since it has received so many rave reviews.

Can anyone recommend. Thanks.

You know what I'm going to say but I'll say it anyway.... Dr Haushcka Cleansing Cream! Smile YonKa Gel Nettoyant is also really good as is the MDF glycolic cleanser (but this one might be too much for your sensitive skin). Another one I would suggest you get a sample of before trying (given the sensitivity) is the PCA Skin cleanser for problem/oily skin. It's really good and it's gentle and non-drying. Midn you, I don't have sensitive skin. It seems gentler than the MDF one though.

While the YonKa Gel Nettoyant is a really good cleanser, I don't think it has anything it in to help with acne. The MDF and PCA Skin ones do and the Dr Hauschka does as well as it's slightly exfoliating and gently deep cleansing.

Missed the review on Dr Hauschkas cleansing cream, so I'll ask, it is OK to put on the eye area? Does it sting? Remove waterproof mascara easily?

I'm currently using Liz Earle cleanse and polish which is a UK brand, it's brilliant, won lots of awards, is great for all skin types, kind to the skin and natural.

I dont know too much about the Dr H cream, except that everyone recommends it. Its on my next list. Ive used many of Liz Earle's products, and just recent came back off the Cleanse and Polish. I dont really get any benefits from her daily eye repair but the skin repair was nice to use and all her products smell so nice. She does a very good job of making you want to buy her products, but I dont think they are right for me at the end of the day.

Cindi - looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

Btw, as per previous reviews, the Dr H CC can NOT be used to remove makeup - it is used as a gentle deep cleanse on a CLEAN face. It's fine to use it in the morning when you wake up sans makeup but in the evening you need to take your makeup off first.

I would also suggest adding Dermalogica's Microfoliant to the mix. It would be great for keeping those pores clear and helping the red marks fade faster.

I've tried the decleor cleansing gel and I have to say I wasn't all that impressed. I didn't feel it was as deep a clean as my skin needed. The scent is heavenly though!

I wouldn't put Dr.H's CC too near your eyes as it is quite grainy.

Another great cleaner you might want to tryout is Dermalogica's Dermal Cleansing Clay (I think that is the name of it) It is a great cleanser to start the day with as it is quite tingly or minty, as Mabsy would say.

Also, another great cleanser for acnaic skin is Biomedic's Cleansing Gel. It has 1% AHA to help slough away all the nasties.

That's a good one for oily/combo skin. I love the minty feeling but don't put that near the eyes either - that was an "experience"! Embarassed
