BC girl.
If you head down to Kripp's pharmacy, they might have it pure. They have just about everything.
It won't hurt and it will be helpful in other areas for your skin. 8-12 weeks before you start to see the benefit. Takes time.
B3 will also brighten the skin. It's quite a powerhouse of an active.
Stay away from the silicons. Use a gentle cleanser or even switch to OCM, that's all I use now. I used to have the grease fest T zone and the horror show of acne sprouting,..and now, I have boring clear, calm skin. OCM to cleanse, and my jungle juju home brews with B3 have cured the skin hell hole I was dealing with.
Gentle with your skin...less is more. Everyone is different though, in my case, less was really so much more.

Retin-A was MAJORLY drying for my skin even though Retin-A was originally marketed as a topical acne medication (i felt like it didn't do anything to help with my acne). |
In North America, beat my skin to a pulp, in 87% R.H. no problems. Climate plays a major factor. You may have better luck with Retinol. Less irritating as well. Combine with B3 and some anti oxidants...anti aging and anti acne.
Sunscreen...a ZnO based one, generally quite helpful for calming the redness of acne as well as anti microbial. Just depends on the carrier and how it works for your skin. Some are greasy as heck. |
