I bought this product thinking it would be a cheaper replacement for my DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. La Vitton is $12.95 for 4.5 fl oz compared to DHC 6.7 for $24.00.
La Vitton Facial Cleansing Oil(lavitton.com)has a rosey lavender scent compared to the olive oil scent of DHC (dhccare.com). Upon application of the LV I knew immediately there was a huge difference. LV was a greasier oil that did take all my makeup and sunscreen off, but it did NOT emulsify with water. I had to use two harsh cleansers to get most the stuff off my face and still felt like it left a film. With DHC you don't have to use another cleanser if you don't want to.
Maybe if you have drier skin you could use this, but combination to oily skins should probably stay away from it. I won't stray from DHC again.

Oils full stop frighten me the death however I have been brave the past three nights and tried Decleors Neroli oil and havent woken up to masses of spots. Im hoping for a sample of ylang ylang with my next order. Im confused as to my skin type now. I always thought I was combination but now Im not sure, I dont have too much problem with oil or greasiness however I do have the congested patch on the nose and chin like most people seem to, yet at times my chin appears dry  |

| I'm not sure if I bought the same La Vitton Cleansing Oil Cheri mentioned. What I have is Water-soluble cleansing oil and it's in a large 8 oz bottle, and the name is right on - water-soluble. But the key to its cleansing powder is that it has to be applied with Dry hands on Dry face, like massage oil! It melts all my makeup, including waterproof mascara right off, and the oil rinses off clean just by plain water, and I never need to use another cleanser after. DHC is another cleansing oil I like, and it works similar to La Vitton. The differences are really to a person's taste. DHC is amber in color and a little heavier in texture, and La Vitton is almost colorless and light. DHC has a delicious olive aroma and La Vitton has a lovely rosy lavender scent. I love them both! |

Linda I too have just ordered the water soluble cleansing oil from La Vitton, following the excellent reviews from makeup alley. I have ordered the combination skin set. I will let you know how I get on with it when it arrives. I am currently trying the ocm but after reading the reviews on makeup alley I couldn't resist this 
My skin concerns are open and blocked pores and the inevitable wrinkles are becoming more prominent.

| I received my La Vitton combo set 2 days ago. So far I liked it. The oil rinses off beautifully with water. And I'm loving the rejuvenating face oil too |

| I placed an order for the combo set two days ago and I received it today. I love the packaging! Pretty gold foil boxes on the outside,green satin bags with the product inside. Too cute! It was like opening presents. I also got a $5 gift certificate. The oil has a very light fragrant scent and washed off completley with water. The face and eye oil have hardly any scent. They absorbed right in without leaving any oily film on my skin. My skin feels so soft and silky. I think I'm going to really like this stuff! |

I ordered the combo set for oily skin recently and have been using it for about a week.
I second everything ksee has said. My skin feels lovely, and appears to be clearing up in conjunction with the other things I've thrown into my routine.
This is what I'm doing in the AM:
La Vitton Water Soluble Facial Cleansing Oil
homemade Emulsion Pure on spots
homemade Vitamin C serum
Skin Eternal Hyarulonic (sp?) Skin Serum
La Vitton Face Oil (I forget the exact name)
[Looking for a good sunscreen to top this off]
Still playing around w/ my PM routine. I only use the La Vitton eye oil at night, but that's mainly b/c I wear contacts and rub my eyes alot during the day, so I don't like to put oils around the eyes then. I also made some of the homemade ylang ylang aromessence oil which I don't know when to use, and when I was using Dr. H I really liked going bare at night.
Also, I do aspirin mask w/ aloe and kaolin clay in the bath a few times a week (which just gives me the nicest, smoothest, glowey-est skin, so I like to do this before going out at night). |

When I placed my order back in 2004 for La Vitton Cleansing Oil they only sold the one that wasn't water soluble. Within a month or so after I posted a review I received a free sample announcing their new water soluble version. Somehow I never made it home from the post office with the sample though, so I never did get to try it.
Lately I've been using MAC Cleanse Off Oil which I really like. I should order another bottle from La Vitton since you all like it so well. From the way you describe the texture it sounds very similar to the MAC version. |

| This is my favorite cleansing oil and like everyone I have several cleansers, oil and regular. I got this a couple of weeks ago based on reviews and I absolutely love it more with each use. It smells great, gets everything off, is gentle....this is the cleanser that I reach for more than any other one... |

I really like the La Vitton Cleansing Oil.
I have dry skin and it leaves my skin smooth.
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous (cute green bag with gold flowers scattered amongst the bags). Their customer service is fantastic. |

If you're near a MAC counter, check out their cleansing oil. It's not fragranced, which I like, and it does wash off easily, although I follow with a mild cleanser.
I've tried both DHC and La Vitton, and they're both really nice, but I can get MAC locally and it's reasonably priced. |

| I love the LV cleansing oil. I use the normal/dry formula. I find that it rinses of my sunscreen and mmu very well. I love the scent -- for me it's aromatherapy built into the otherwise very mundane and unenjoyable task of washing my face every night. I ordered my 2nd bottle and went for the 2-product kit. I was wanting to try the other products, although I know I won't use them regularly, but I'm glad I have them in the house now, in case my skin gets irritated, I think the oils will be soothing for my face and/or eye area. |

| Decleor cleansing oil is also very nice. The frangrance is wonderful, almost like a floral tea and rinses clean with water. I use it in the shower and it removes all makeup and mascara...very nice. Tried samples of DHC oil and liked that as well but love Decleor so thought I'd give theirs a try before ordering a full size of DHC. Between these two it comes down to fragrance preference. |

| Does the Decleor oil come in several varieties? Which one do you use? Is there a link to the ingredients anywhere? One of the things that I like so well about the La Vitton oil is that the ingredients seem more natural and not anywhere near as "chemically" as other oils mentioned around the forums. |

There's only one cleansing oil by Deleor that I know of:
Huile Demaquilante
ingredients:
lavender, petitgrain, lemon essential oils, plant oils of sweet almond, red palm
copied from the Decleor website. Hope that helps. |
