If I had to pick I'd say Blanche. lmao. I love Betty White too.
Back on topic, so what do you think about what onmyboat said about if 5.5 ph is actually too low to cleanse well. |
Anything higher than 5.5 will eventually destroy your acid mantle and make your face age. A higher ph product does remove makeup better though. |

Hi grhawk. Can you prove that with any sort of links/studies etc.?
Firefox, I was wondering if you'd mind giving me your opinion on this ingredient list. (Cetaphil oily cleanser):
aqua (purified water), PEG-200 hydrogenated glyceryl palmate (and) PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, acrylates/steareth-20 methacrylate copolymer, glycerin, sodium laureth sulfate, butylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, parfum (masking fragrance), panthenol, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, disodium EDTA, methylparaben
Do you think it's bad because it contains the SLS? It says it's PH balanced etc. |

Two anionic surfactants one of which is a sulphate (known irritants as low as 1%) so I never recommend this. Here in the UK sulphates are contraindicated in those with any dry or sensitive skin condition. |

Thank you Firefox! What was the gentle cleanser you were using that you can't source now? |

It is called DermaV10 Q10 Innovations cleansing milk, no idea if you can get it outside the UK. Am changing other parts of my routine at present so so considering buying in bulk online. Nothing fancy but that is the point: my priority is not causing even invisible irritation!
"Water, sweet almond oil, glyceryl stearate, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, PEG-100 stearate, cocoamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, hydroxy ethyl cellulose, parfum, disodium EDTA." |

Thanks Firefox, gives me something to go off of, ya know? Here's to hoping you'll be able to find a replacement!
ETA: And if you do find a suitable replacement, I hope you'll post what it is! |

Just wanted to add that in my above post I incorrectly stated that the Cetaphil Oily cleanser contained SLS. I meant to say SLES. But I can't edit that post so I just wanted to edit that part for anyone reading. |
