Lotusesther, "stirfries in healthy oils", what do you mean when you say healthy oils?
Regarding gretchen, well, what about the french? They eat a lot of butter etc. (and red wine I know.) So do you have any pictures of someone from France gretchen?
ETA: I can't post a pic but how about Mireille Guiliano, author of "French women don't get fat". She's 66 and eats a french sort of diet. |
I already went through that on another thread, even posted a picture almost full length of Mireille Guiliano and gretchen said that she is fat! Wrinkled as well! |

LOL packratmack,
If the "magic" works for some more power to them! My logical side and my experience tells me there is no :magic" in that water! |

Gretchen - I'm not sure what you think you're achieving by posting one picture of an English women who you think is on a low fat diet, and one picture of a French woman that is on a higher fat diet - both of whom you appear to look down on.
One single person can never represent an entire dietary approach to eating. |

Keliu, I think she only posted the picture of the french woman because I asked. I don't think the Lita Lee person is on a low fat diet (just no pufa's).
gretchen, you said the french woman likely eats bread. Didn't you post elsewhere that you now believe bread/carbs/sugar are fine and only pufa's and lack of SF were the issue? Sorry, I'm just confused. Can you clarify please. |

The picture of the person on the low fat diet posted by Gretchen was the Duchess of Cambridge. |

Where is the photo of the Duchess of Cambridge?
I can only see two photos - one is of the French writer,Mireille Guiliano, and the other is of Lita Lee. |

There are 91.65 grams of fat in a stick of butter and 29 grams of fat in a Big Mac. So you are actually consuming the equivalent fat of three and a half Big Macs in one hit. |
Yeah I suppose I could eat a low fat diet, um, already did- it made me sick.
What eating low fat does to your skin:
Oh well 50 years of indoctrination, there are some things you really can't un-learn. |

Thank you, Dark Moon.
Another question - what is supposed to be wrong with Kate's skin? I know I'm English and probably biased, but she looks like a healthy young woman to me! lol |

You are welcome Holmes,
I don' know what to say she posts a lot of pictures of people that I see no flaws out of the ordinary yet according to the poster they are fat, and or have bad skin? |

Yep, the only negative I can find in this picture is that she just looks a little tired, which is understandable. But she is still a beautiful young lady IMO. |

It's also very easy to find an unflattering photo of a celebrity - the media thrives on them. But to hold that one photo up as an example of a poor diet is ridiculous.
But I also believe that there is room in a diet for saturated fat - the French thrive on it - and I would much rather consume butter than margerine for example. (But never 8 ounces of it all in one hit!) The point of the French diet is that they eat in moderation. |

Thank you Keliu,
I totally agree, I have nothing against using real butter but melting a stick and drinking it is just beyond any reasonable thought to me! |
