My Obagi Protocol says to "combine and apply the blender and trentinoin evenly on your entire face and apply around eye area as directed." Also, "avoid excessive application around the corners of the lips and crease around the nose." Is there any reason that I should avoid the corners of the lips and the crease around the nose? (What is the crease around the nose? Are they talking about the laugh lines?)
I don't know if I am doing it right. I mix the directed amount of Blender and Trentinoin together in my hand, and then apply it all over my face. Am I doing it right? And is it OK to use this near my eyes?? Would this interfere with the Elastiderm eye treatment gel I put on immediately afterwards?
Sorry about all my questions lately... I really want to do this right. Thank you! |

Hello, I am not an Obagi user, but I've used retin-a for the last few years. The crease of the nose is where your nostrils connect to your cheeks, not your nasolabial lines. They don't want you to put in here or on the lips because retin-a is a serious exfoliant, and the skin there is very thin. You will end up with an oozing, weeping sore mess if you put the product there. When I was first starting retin-a, this area was seriously irritated, moreso than the rest of my face till I learned to back off. |
