Welcome! What do you mean by skin type C? Do you have current dermatological or aesthetic issues or want nothing more than prevention? What is your current skincare routine, including shaving products if applicable? Do you consistently meet or exceed all your government's recommendations for healthy eating and lifestyle?
In general there is no one-size-fits-all approach - depends on your gender, age, lifestyle, time available, budget, willingness to DIY, clinical history, personal preferences and numerous other factors. For gadgets I recommend starting out by reading the first ten pages of all the longest gadget threads on the DIY board. Time consuming but you need to understand the underlying theory to make an informed choice. |
_________________ Sensitivity, forehead pigmentation & elevens, nose & chin clogged pores. Topicals: Aloe vera, squalane, lactic acid, Myfawnie KinNiaNag HG: Weleda calendula, Lanolips, Guinot masque essentiel, Flexitol Naturals, Careprost. Gadgets: Vaughter dermarollers, Lightstim. |

My skin really get OILY. I am thinking of adding Neostrata Oil Control Gel to my AM routine for the oil skin.
What else can I use in my routine and what devices can I get to have that youthful look on my skin |

Oily skin and enlarged pores may be a sign skin is dehydrated and/ or that the body is under stress. Not just stressful life events but any unhealthy habits can stress the body out. Pores are just holes in the skin, plump up the surrounding tissue and they diminish significantly. You are exfoliating THREE times daily between your wash and face cream which may be damaging the skin's barrier function (holds in water, keeps chemicals and bacteria out). Your cleanser also contains sodium laureth sulphate which is a known irritant and strips the lipids out of the skin itself not simply those on the surface. How soon after cleansing does your skin get oily? What happens if you rinse with water only in the morning, perhaps using a cotton muslin cloth to gently remove any product residue? When I cut out sulphate surfactants my T-zone and scalp became less oily within days.
Your moisturiser and sunscreen are both chemical soups. Applied to skin that is being constantly exfoliated and stripped you are at higher risk of irritation so might consider switching to a gentler physical sunscreen/ moisturiser combo such as Devita Rx Ultrasolar 50 or the richer Devita Body Block. A product you might consider is the KinNiaNag serum. This contains a combination of actives which are proven in anti-ageing, can help increase the amount of ceramides in the skin so increasing hydration, help normalise sebum production and reduce acne. http://www.skincaretalk.com/a/kinnianag-kinetin-b3-nag-antiaging-anti-acne-serum
Do you consistently meet or exceed all your government's recommendations for healthy eating and lifestyle? |
