Hello all,
I know minerals are important, but I can't find much info about their impact on skin. Mineral skin care seems to be a new trend, and I like the idea of it being all natural but I need to know more before I try it. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks a lot,

Minerals as part of your nutrition strategy or minerals topically? Which specific minerals are you referring to - it is a massive category? Nano sized minerals penetrate when applied topically and some are concerned about the safety of this primarily in regards to sunscreens. Larger molecule minerals sit on the surface: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide afford sun protection, zinc is also bacteriostatic. However do bear in mind with powdered mineral formulas you are highly unlikely to apply sufficient to get more than a minimal SPF. |
