Has anyone had any luck with this? How does it compare with other dark circle treatments (e.g. Peter Thomas Roth Power K, Teamine)?

DragoN uses chrysin in her chrysun sunscreen and chrysalis eye serum recipes. References to published research here

Search here for anecdotal evidence, plenty of posts pop up if you search for 'chrysin' or 'chrysalis' selecting only the DIY board.

I actually bought the Vitamin K and Chrysin from Skin Actives and mixed them in an eye cream... no difference what-so-ever, and I was consistent with it for over 3 months. |

According to this chrysin is picky with solvent and pH, might not be the best added to a commercial product

On top of Firefox's advice maybe adding it to a serum base would be more effective |

Chrysin will work if you give it time. I combine it in a serum with vitamin K, peptide GEKG, cucumber extract, royal jelly and eyebright extract. After using it for a year, my dark circles are banished.
Since the circles can be due to several different factors, hitting them with different actives will work better and faster. If yours are due to anemia, sunken undereye area or some familial trait, topicals may not work for them.
Get the pure chrysin not the haloxyl. Its better to know the actual % of each ingredient youre using instead of paying for water and glycerin in them.
Chrysin is soluble in NaOH so combining it directly in a ready-made serum or cream wont work. It has to be dissolved to be active in the skin. |

Hi Fawnie,
What product or recipe are you using and how long do you think it took to work? |
