I am considering trying a few of the decleor products, however I am not sure the best ones to get. My skin is oily, with blackheads, and sensitive. When I use too many correcting products, my skin gets dry.
Thanks.. |

I'm sensitive with clogged pores and prone to dryness. I used the hydra-matt moisturizer without any problems. I found it not moisturizing enough for the really cold winter we're having and switched to the hydra floral moisturizer which is ok...It sometimes makes me shiny so I have to use the anti-shine treatment with it.
I've also used their foaming cleanser, phytopeel, and mattifying lotion without any skin reactions (which is rare for me!) The essential night balm is great for clogged pores. It seems to soften them right up so they're easy to pop out (yeah, I know, I shouldn't do that!) |

How sensitive is it and to what specifically? Have you tried natural products before? I'd really recommend the Essential Balm! That's for the blackheads and skin congestion. I don't have sensitive skin but this is not a harsh product - of course you know your skin best so you'll need to decide if this can potentially give you problems. I hear the Aromessence Ylang Ylang is good for oily skin. You could use the Ylang Ylang and the Essential Balm over the top at night. |

It is hard for me to determine exactly what products make it react. However, most all gel cleansers I have purchased are too drying, and the lotion cleansers leave my skin to oily. Uggggh!! I looked on decleors website, and they have a pretty nifty tool to find out what products to use. I am just confused on whether to lean towards sensitive products or products for oily skin. I have tried the Avalon organics CoQ10 line. I love the gel lotion, but am not crazy about the cleanser. |

LizzieW –
I’m probably too late with my reply, but I have to 3rd the recommendation of the Decleor Ylang Ylang Aromessence Oil. It sounds like we have similar skin types: I have hyper-oily skin which is also extremely sensitive, with a few blackheads on and around my nose and – even though it sounds like an oxymoron to use oil on top of oil to combat oil – since I’ve been using the Ylang Ylang oil, my oiliness is really starting to be under control and (like Mabsy) my blackheads seem to soften/shrink so that they pop right out without applying hardly any pressure at all! In the mornings, I apply the Decleor hydra-mat regulating fluid on top of the Ylang Ylang oil, but at night I only apply the Ylang Ylang. I am completely in love and enamoured of this product – I wish I’d have discovered it a lot sooner!! Both the Ylang Ylang and the HydraMat have not caused any irritation to my face whatsoever.
I can’t tell from your user profile where you live but if you’re in the U.S., you can go to your local Sephora store and request samples of the Decleor products you’re interested in so you can try before you buy....
