My husband has reminded me of that. I sure dont know what to do. We were/are on good terms with them. I see my family doc tom morn. Im afraid its infected but my head may be messing with me. I cant believe that they didnt just shoot the dog but instead waited until the dog warden paid them a visit and then they took it to the trainers!!!!!!!!! |

It's the owner's fault, the dog must be on a leash, at least here in NYC... btw, s/he bit you once n sees you as an enemy, so pls b careful in future...
Instead of putting the dog down, may be they should give it to one of those guard dog companies, they are always in need of aggressive dogs. |

Still on for a week holiday so decided to use my Tria straight after breakfast.
Using the device on level 3, I really took my time to very slowly move the laser over the skin, ensuring I am getting an even coverage across my entire face. The Tria is easier to use over the nose area, and forehead area than the ReAura.
My face was tingling after the treatment, so I soaked some make-up removal wipes in cold Avene Spring Water, and lay them across the treated area, whilst reapplying the cold spring water kept in the fridge.
Pleased to report that by 11.30 am all the redness had gone.
My skin is feeling very smooth, and it is only week 2.
Not as flaky today, in fact you can hardly see the flaky bits.

Week 3 is going well, I really like this device, it is so easy to use.
Later in the treatment I going to treat one side of my face the Tria and the other with the ReAura to compare, redness, power etc, will report back.

As I'd mentioned in an earlier post, I've run out of the primer/cleanser and the serum, so 3 nights ago I just washed my face with a cleansing bar and water and user the Tria (level 3). It felt much hotter, but I pressed on anyway and used Avene water spray and aloe vera afterwards. OMG! Three days later I still have red bands on my NL lines and across my chin Its not an attractive look let me tell you! My b/f asked "what happened to your face"
I'm almost at the end of the first 8 weeks, so I might just lay off for another month and hope my skin returns to normal. I refuse to pay $90.00 for their cleanser/serum, so will have to experiment and find something that else that works. |

I have seen this before with home fraxel devices, it is when the cleansing product drys out the skin too much, I have experienced something similar with a Clinique product, and the device doesn't glide across the treatment and sticks to the skin, causing "bands" of over exposure to the laser. The bands are related to the shape of the laser treatment window.
I hope they heal quickly.

Yes Philip your description is exactly right! I think by just using soap and water instead of a cleanser of some type (or their primer), it wasn't as easy to glide over the face and I probably lingered too long in those areas.
Its still red this morning, so I'm taking a break and treating with aloe vera gel in hopes that it clears up. |

Hi anya, if it's red, itchy, and dry, try using an OTC cortisone cream for a a day or two... |

Anya, I would also use the Avene spray three times a day and then cover the moist skin with Aloe Vera Gel.
Best

Dahler its not itchy or dry at all, just red. But thanks for your advice :
Also thanks Philip. I've been using the spray twice a day with the aloe, and I'll take your suggestion and bump it up to 3x's to see if that helps. Luckily I work from home
Listening to your presentation as I type.... It should be mandatory listening for anyone contemplating getting the Tria! |

I was just watching PQ video and I think I might have come up with the "missing piece of information" between the power/strength of the Tria vs ReAura laser.
I did a comparison earlier were I looked at what available information we had on the two lasers and come to the conclusion that both lasers had similar power strength but I was never able to get over how one could be used 7 days a week vs 2. I think I have come up with a plausible explanation. When I was watching the video I noticed how large the laser window was on the Tria compared to the ReAura. It is a much longer opening. This got me thinking if that could make the laser strength of power/intensity that comes from that opening weaker. It can. Basically my DH explained it to me this way. If you have a 100 watt light bulb that is lighten a whole room vs a 100 watt light bulb that is just lighten a table, the intensity of that light just lighten the table is going to be a lot stronger.
Below is a reference that explains it in more technical terms. I don't know this for sure since I don't own both lasers and doubt either company will give us their proprietary information but this makes sense to me. What do you think?

That makes total sense...the intensity is weaker on the Tria since it is spread out over the larger opening. |

I think you are right!
I did a test on my arm last night, as my face is fully utilised at the moment with reviewing.
Right upper - arm Tria level 3 - after treatment, warm but not red, this morning after 8 hours sleep, no sign of any treatment.
Left upper - arm - ReAura level 3 - after treatment - very red and very hot - after 8 hours sleep - still pink not red and you can the treatment area clearly.

Philip, thanks so much for taking the time to do the video. I am so itching to get the Tria. I wish it weren't such a hassle to get here. So you do recommend continuing LED treatments while using the Tria? |

You are more than welcome.
I believe layering of treatments is the best way to see results, so yes, I think it is good idea.

Well, I've just finished my first week of "rest" from the Tria and so far, am ABSOLUTELY thrilled with my results. The lines around my mouth have significantly reduced. The lines at the corners of my mouth have also really reduced. My skin is still a little rough but I'm exfoliating every day to alleviate that. The hyperpigmentation at the top of my cheekbones has reduced a lot but I can see that maybe another "go round" with my Tria after the rest will help that. But, I also have 3 more weeks of rest so it will be exciting to see further results. Love love love this machine! Blessings |
