Over the past year I've noticed there's been a reduction in collagen below my eyes which I'm assuming is down to aging and the dark circle affliction which I'll have to accept approaching 30. It's a light grey circle which goes around my eyes.
I'm ok with it to a certain extent but I'm more concerned about the skin being blackened which runs from my inner eye socket along down the sides of the top of my nose and to slightly under my eyes.
It looks like I'm recovering from being clocked on the nose.
I've kept my diet in check and use moisturiser daily to combat this over the past 2 weeks but no real difference. Is there any hope of lessening the severity of it? |

What do you mean by kept your diet in check? Are you meeting all the other recommendations for healthy living - physical activity, not smoking, sleep and so on? Have you considered facial massage? |

My diet meets government standards. I don't smoke, drink and I get physical activity.
I've tried some massage under the eyes but I wasn't confident about continuing it because of the fear of wrinkles.
I get enough sleep but the time I get it is an issue as because of the time sensitive work I do, I have to stay up to at least 2am most nights which I know won't help. |

Consider exceeding our government's minimums for healthy eating, they are lower than many countries and lower than what is supported by the research. Nine portions of brightly coloured fruit and veggies a day, oily fish or a DHA/ EPA supplement daily, plenty of other healthy fats, no sugar or white/ refined carbs, read labels for salt. Be patient: from your other thread you were not even hitting the minimums a couple of weeks ago, so you may have a deficiency of some nutrients. Improved diet which will take weeks to months to fully reflect in improved skin and capillary health as the cells are slowly replaced.
Maybe run a search on the 'Skincare Tools & DIY' board? if you don't fancy Tanaka massage which IIRC requires a gentle touch, you might find the Yamuna ball thread interesting.
Getting to sleep earlier is beneficial but IMO it is more important to ensure you get restful sleep. So be sure to properly wind down (sleep hygiene), keep your room cool, darken the windows and use wax earplugs if you have early rising housemates. Higher intensity exercise a couple of times a week can help you sleep more deeply as well as boosting circulation. |

Yeah, it's only been a couple of weeks that my diet has been steered in the right direction so I can't expect miracles already.
Thanks for all your advice on this stuff anyway. I'll definitely want to start getting you christmas presents and a card if your suggestions start working haha |

Will I be receiving a pound shop sale item if my advice was rubbish and a fancy skincare gadget if it worked miracles? |
