If you have a good machine, which I think you do,technique is very important. Christine Byer was really good with providing a lesson. It is most helpful to follow someone's guidance when they are demonstrating on themselves....like her YouTube videos. The webinar I took goes through different techniques that address shortening and lengthening different muscles. I have learned from both Christine and the webinar training that a lot of the issues with our face are due to muscles needing to be stretched out and others needing to be tightened up.Getting the muscles relaxed takes years off the face. |
It also helps if you are tightening muscles, 0.3Hz is the most appropriate frequency and to relax muscles use 90Hz. All square waves.

This is all very confusing to me...
How do we know which muscles need tightening and which need to be relaxed?
I just hope that CACI will be easy to use. |

Keliu, have you already seen any lift from your MC apparatus? |
I'm not seeing any visible tightening of my jaw-line. But, overall, I feel as though I look less tired. I've been alternating between the gloves and probe treatments. I should really take my own advice and go and have a professional treatment to see whether it feels any different. |
Keliu, this is discouraging. I was hoping to hear a positive review from you. I'm older than you and have pronounced jowls... so what are the chances that MC will work for me? |

I have a diagram to show you where you should relax and tighten muscles, I will need to scan it and then post it on here for you.

This is very interesting. A tense face does look older. I am curious as to how one gets the muscles relaxed. And do you tense up when you use the probes or gloves on certain areas and then try to relax with other areas? It really is a science and an art. |

Well I'm not sure that it's possible to get a total face-lift with microcurrent - if it was, wouldn't that make surgery defunct?
I'm going to keep on keeping on because I think everything helps. But I would be happier if I knew what I was doing was absolutely correct. Unfortunately, because I live in Australia, the webinars and video tutorials are not that viable.
PQ - I think a chart showing the muscles which need to be tightened would be very useful. |

We have to remember that Microcurrent works at different levels.
Muscles and ATP ie cell regeneration too.

A guide on tight/relaxed muscles can age the face.
You need to tighten the relaxed areas and relax the tight areas with microcurrent.

This is a great video Keliu...thanks for posting. Hope you get your computer to work Sis because it does explain why you want to lengthen certain muscles and shorten others. Plus, I love the accents!! ~ Aprile |

PQ, Are u saying that when lengthening muscles 90HZ is used?
I always thought frequencies under 1 HZ should be used when lengthening muscles?! |

Toby, do you think that there are any long term benefits to microcurrent. Like say if I sign up for 10 treatments but don't keep up a maintenance program after those 10 treatments are over. Do you go back to like you never did any treatment at all? I know we continue to age but would you say you increase collagen or muscle tone or something else by doing a series of microcurrent.
I just know if I have to go long term to a microcurrent appointment I won't do it. I might do it if I buy a machine for home use. That's why I am interested in the CACI machine for home use.
Thanks. |
CookieD - I am certain that if you don't maintain the initial 10 with once a month that you will lose the gain...sorry to say--
It does beg the question - what exactly does mc do if it cannot help long term -jeeze - i'm so busy i cannot look into that question - it's easzier to get the treatment and look good - I get 3 or 4 week maintenance depending on the month - there have been months where i've felt i could go five weeks, but dont want to chance it..
Keliu - if you are not seeing improvement in the jaw line - my first thought is that it is an inferior machine and you may want to get a series of professional treatments and maintain it with your machine which may allow you to go every 7or 8 weeks for prof treamtnts instead of 4--that said i have not read this whole tread and don't know how long you've had it - i saw results at week one in my jaw line - |

My machine is working correct now, my friend makes a resistence so now i can choose the ampere hight. I bought the course from barbara and i find it is working great. My cheek was way higher the first time i did my treatment. It was a one hour treatment. The book says first cirkeling for puffines, than your muscle treatment lenghten and shorthen.Than feathering and folow with massage,
(_______XX_______) = lenght
X = where the probes start
X___________X = short
From X to X always upwards
For lenghten hold probes 12 sec
For shorthen hold probes 10 sec
