I wanted to post my experience of V Beam for cherry angiomas for those of you that also have these.

I had my procedure on Thursday and I was not expecting the huge reddish/purplish bruises and swelling that took place immediately after. They didn't warn me of this at all. A dermatologist performed my V beam. He charged me $300 for 10 minutes of laser time which is pretty good. I checked around and other derms were charging per pulse.

They said that the bruising/swelling will take about 10 days to go away. I'm hoping that's true. I read online that taking Arnica before and after helps, but my dermatologist laughed and said that's not going to do anything. (He's very scientific and matter-of-fact).

I'm hoping that all the spots go away.. a few already look like they have gone away but there is still minor bruising in those areas. He said they will turn purplish and then fall off. I'm hoping that happens for all of them.

I'll keep you posted. If any of you have had this done, please share your experience.

Hope this does the trick for you, Bella.

Mine are mostly very tiny, but in quite a few different places so It would probably cost me a fortune to have this done!

I would still try the arnica to help with the bruising if you feel inclined to do so. It can be very good stuff and made a heck of a difference to my poor husband the last two times he fell badly off his bike.

Thanks, majorb. Did your husband use the arnica pills or the cream? I took the little pills, but I'm thinking about getting some cream too.

It was SBC Arnica Gel, Bella, which we've found to be tremendously useful.

His bruising was pretty awful and extensive. Despite his usual dislike of baths rather than showers, I ran him a lovely warm bath using Neals Yard Remedies Seaweed and Arnica Foaming Bath and made him soak himself in it for a while. Immediately after drying him off, I liberally applied the SBC Arnica Gel, followed by further applications about 3 times a day.

Upon the first occasion, despite his initial scepticism, he couldn't believe how much the arnica speeded up the healing of the bruises, compared to previous experience.

I haven't tried the cream versions, but I've heard from others that they can be very effective, too.
