Hi everyone!
I started using Trentinoin gel .05 about 3 months ago about every three days, using it 30 minutes after a shower/cleansed face.
My questions are: When does the peeling stop? ( I moisturize after another thirty minutes after Trentinoin gel application) Is this a proper routine or should I up the usage to every two days? Are there any other tips or what to use in conjunction with it? Right now I'm using a simple lotion (Vani Cream lite lotion), 2% SA toner/astringent occasionally, PTR antiwrinkle pads occasionally and Cucumber milk cleanser every morning and night. Oh and spf liquid sunscreen.
Also for reference, I'm using this to 'control' acne/clogged pores and hopefully help the aging process slow down/get mildly better.
Thanks for reading. How some one cam give me some advice!

Hello and welcome.
Cucumber is a mild exfoliant, so for a start it might help if you switch to a different cleanser. |

First of all, you really shouldn't be using the PTR peel pads while using tretinoin (aka retin-a: it says this on the ptr bottle).
After more than a year of using tretinoin I can control the peeling, but there's always a risk if I use too much. I've found that using it every other night on a completely dry face and then putting jojoba oil on top usually keeps peeling at bay.
You might try asking your dermatologist to write you a script for differin. It's a synthetic cream version of vitamin a that has much less chance of causing peeling. Differin helped immensely with clogged pores. I used it instead of retin for a few months without any peeling, and still use it now alternating with the retin. I do this because while differin theoretically helps build collagen, retin-a has trials and decades of proof.
Hope this helps.
