What are some of your favorite eyeshadow colors?

How did you determine that these colors would work best on you?

Smashbox Blue Eyes kit is great basic kit for me. For the most part it is a neutral set. (I have lots of neutral sets - Urban Decay I and II)

I have blue eyes that can show either blue-green or blue-violet depending upon color.
If I want to bring out the blue I use something with orange or bronzey tones. If I want to bring out the green I use violet or cranberryish tones. (Hard Candy Rendevous palate is great for this).

A good way to decide 'your' colors is to use a color opposite your eye color on a color wheel. Thus- the opposite of blue is orangish tones which will make blue eyes pop(supposedly Laughing

I have dark brown eyes so I normally buy in earth tones such as dark brown, grey, dark copper and black. Plum color also works for me. The greens and blues are not complimentary colors for me. I don't like light shimmery colors as those make my eyes so "small". I have asian eyes and I will mostly stick to "safe" colors such as earth tone colors. But then, I am also open to suggestions Smile Smile Smile

What about you? What do you prefer?
