I ordered my mother the Tripollar Stop and Pose. She used it the other day and at first it was working fine, and then it started shutting off every few seconds. So far the Pose has not done this. We've made sure the plugs for the device and the outlet are firming plugged in. We even tried different outlets and this happened with each one.
Has anyone else had this problem? |

Put the stop device on high and see if it still shuts off. It shuts off as a safety feature to keep the device operating at a certain temperature. |

But if I put it on high, wouldn't that make it shut off even more frequently because it would get even hotter than if it was on low or medium? |

I have both the Pose and Stop and have used them for three years. Putting the device on high means it has to heat up further and get the skin hotter before the orange light comes on and then the device cuts off. At low the device is going to cut off at a lower temp. very quickly. |

Hi, I don't have Pose, but do have Stop, which I happen to be using just now as once again treatment, using it two, three times a week for a month more or less,... and as Toby has said, depending on the temp mode you choose it will go off sooner or longer. I use the High mode, so then the light goes ambar and then it shuts off... if I continue massaging in the same area it comes back on, and after a few secs. it shuts off again... it detects too much heat and shuts off to prevent damage of the skin. Must say I've even felt a nearly hot/burn feeling before it shut off!!
Is that the issue you're mentioning or could it be a gadget not working properly? |

Same thing happened with my pose. If the cord wasnt on a surface and dangling, it would go off. Then id have to replug it. But sometimes it goes off before it would even have a chance to get too hot. Im sending it back for them to ck. |

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to her house tomorrow, so I'm going to check it out on the higher setting. My sister just told me that my mom told her that the Pose is doing this, too. So maybe she has to go to a higher setting on each. |

Dearest customers,
My name is Udi and I am the service manager at Pollogen.I am at your disposal for any technical query concerning Stop and Pose.
Concerning last correspondences with regards to device turning on and off during operation,I came to learn that in most cases the power supply adaptor was not firmly connected to the device, hence you have to verify that you hear "click" sound (apply force), and see in your eyes that the cord surface is touching the upper cord inlet on the device.
Let me know if it helped
Best Regards
Udi |

I thank you, too, for your response. I didn't get a chance to go to my mother's house, but will try tomorrow. |

Dear Udi,
Great to have a specialist on this forum, is there any chance of you posting some top-tips on getting the best results whilst using POSE and STOP?
Kind regards,
Philip |

Hi Philip,
What kind of tips are you referring to? application wise?
If you could elaborate more I could ask our clinical specialist and respond adequately.

Udi,
Has the company learnt from the user feedback and experience, how to get the best results, information that isn't in the user manual, or are they any other resources documents, videos on how to achieve the best results?
Best regards,
Phliip |

This is exactly the problem I had when I first received my tripollar stop. I had to forcefully push the power supply cord into the device. It was a lot more pressure than I thought I would have to use to plug the cord in. But, I could hear a click when I did it. It worked properly after that. |

Yes I had this problem with my body version of the tripolar. I had to use superglue to really keep the connection from the device to the electrical power piece solid. Since then it works no problem. |

I also forgot to mention some outlets are better than others in their "tightness". Since the adaptor I was given was a 2 prong with no grounding prong, I notice that some of my outlets let it slip out or there is not a solid connection in the outlet. The other issue I had was the connection in the device proper was a bit loose and I had to keep pushing in the connector piece. It didn't help alot, which I why I used glue. |

Yes!! I pushed it in real hard and it clicked. I did a treatment and it stayed on the entire time!!
Udi - is it ok to leave it hooked into the unit all the time and not disconnect it from the unit? |

I would be nervous to use superglue on this device. Where exactly did you apply it? |

Udi, one more question - do you have to pre-heat the skin or can you just start on high? |

Hi Deb M
I am really happy that it worked:-)
There is no problem leaving the connector in the device.
Concerning the heat level, it is advisable to start on low and progress upwards.

Udi - is there harm in just using high? I'm just thinking of cutting the treatment time down by using high. (i've done it - maybe that's why I've not seen much improvement?) |

I only applied the smallest drop using the tip of a pin. I didn't apply anywhere near where the outlet goes into the wall. Its the other end, the little plug into the adaptor side. I just wanted to get that sucker solid. Mine did not click into place, I didn't hear anything resembling a click.
BTW not a good idea to keep plugged in 24/7. Especially with an adaptor. The one I was sent is a two prong, no ground on it. |

Exact place? Not anywhere near the metal prong. Only on the outside of the "square"piece where it meets the inside of the adaptor.
I am running out of the pose gel and am trying some other liquid/gels. So far what works great is a massage type oil designed to reduce cellulite. Maybe I will have better luck with this combination as it will drive the essential oils that target the cellulite deeper! |

This might be a stupid question but i'm asking it - has anyone tried ky jelly? The main ingredient is glycerin. Not as thick as the pose gel though. |
