Back in January of this year I began using a steroid cream to even out my skin tone. Everything was fine until a red spot appeared on the bridge of my nose. Some days it's very bright red, and the skin is thin and shiny. It's like the top layer of skin has not regenerated yet. It looks like a burn mark. I always have to place a concealer over it because it looks horrible without it. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of it? It's almost september and the mark is still there. I'm hoping its not permanent |

What kind of steroid cream did you use? Like Cortaid? You used it to even out the skin tone, was your skin red or pink or what were you trying to even out?
I know you are supposed to use a Cortaid cream only for a limited time or you will thin the skin. Sounds like for the location you used it on (nose), you overdid it. Stop using the cream and switch to super gentle and hydrating products. |
