Hello!
Most of the time, the reason why we buy eye primer is to make sure that the eye shadows don't crease or cake on our eyes.
Having said that,
In your experience, what eye primer that you bought is worth the money as far as:
-texture or creaminess,
-smell
-ingredients
-shell-life, etc.
If you have found the best eye primer, does EDS sell it or not? If not, where can I buy???
Thanks for your response to this thread! |

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Urban Decay's Eyeshdow Primer in a tube. I have used Sin for years now. It is a shimmering champagne-colored eye shadow primer, so it addsa good base color as well!

Hello there AnnieR Thanks for your response.
I heard about Urban Decay regarding eye shadows but not really eye primer. I will check it out.
Anybody out there who has any favourite eye primer that they tried and that is worth the money to spend? I don't mind to find expensive ones as long as it does the work for me. Thanks

I just love the color it comes in (Sin), so it's nice to have a primer with the color. It is a bit shimmery though. So if you aren't into that or want something matte, this would not be for you. Although by the time you put color over it, you don't even notice. |

Hi AnnieR Thanks for helping I will check it out. Looks like EDS do not sell this product, why???? So I can only buy at Sephora website? Not sure how reliable their customer service. I find EDS customer service is extremely good.... Will definitely check out your recommendation....

No, I bought mine from my local Ulta store. But I buy all the time from Sephora and their customer service and return policy are outstanding. If EDS doesn't carry, which is where I turn to first, then that's where I go.
If you can walk in to one, they will let you have some samples to try first. |

Clinique Touch Base for Eyes in Canvas Light. This stuff is fantastic! It can be used as an eye shadow base/primer, but it's also great on it's own. I sometimes use it on it's own with just some eyeliner. My eyeshadow stays put too. |

Hi AnnieR
I checked and goggled just now and found a Sephora store in downtown Toronto. Since I am driving back home, I can go there with my sister to check the store. I am a shopperholic when in comes to skin care and make-up products, count me in
I have combination skin, I will see if this one will work for me. Don't know really if they give samples in the store.
Thanks again for your input Much appreciated |

Urban Decay was effective at holding shadow on but I found it drying. Next I tried Two Faced Shadow Insurance and preferred it...not drying and equally effective at holding color.
Just this week I started using Missha Goodbye Crease eye makeup primer. I like the color of this (no 2 beige) and its so moisturizing I can use it under my eyes. It was $10.50 US during a recent sale. |

Bonjour 7Destiny Does EDS sells this? I would like to check out this one. I will check out Two Faced Shadow Insurance. I am already in Toronto so I will need to go to Sephora store tomorrow. Maybe Sephora sells your preferred primer? I can buy both (don't mind at all). If one does not work, I can always try the other one or give the one that I don't like to my sister She is not fussy with make-up (but I am for sure ).... Thanks

7Destiny-Interesting that you found the Urban Decay drying. I did not have that experience and I aleady had dry eyelids!
I tried a sample of the Too Faced and it was okay but a little more on the oily side, so that is maybe why that one worked better for you.
I just like the color the Urban Decay comes in!
Benefit and Smashbox have good ones as well.
I would get a few samples from Sephora and see what works the best for your skin type. |

Hello Havana8 Thanks a lot for your prompt response. I'm in the process of ordering some more skin-care/make-up from EDS in a few days time. I will check out what you are suggesting....

I'm also a big fan of Urban Decay's PP.
I'm trying Smashbox's new under eye primer. So far so good. |
