After a lifetime of having fabulous, thick well- behaved hair it's now limp, soft and totally unmanageable with about half the volume. I have spent a fortune on every product imaginable but basically nothing is working, and it's driving me insane! I'm putting it down to the menopause but have today been my thyroid function tested to see if it could be that.
I am looking for something to put the strength back into my hair-does anyone have any recommendations at all? Thanks a lot |

I have read that borage oil (taken internally) is suppose really good for hair. I have not tried it though. |

I am on bioidentical hormone replacement - all - cept for HGH (somatropin) which I am about to go on. I would say make sure ALL of your hormones are balanced 1st. I will say tho that despite this until I went on oral Saw Palmetto my hair wouldn't stop falling.(and now if is growing back quite nicely & I am 52yo)(yes hypothyroidism can def be an issue but i would mostly ignore my endocrinologist & read stop the thyroid madness for excellent help from those who have been thru thyroid hell!)
HTH's!! |

I am post meno, and have been hypothyroid over 35 years, and the 2 things I attribute to my hair falling out very little anymore, is using sulfate free shampoo & taking Astaxanthin daily. Before it was falling out in handfuls. I do use an bio-identical HRT patch, and have for a lot of years. |
