Hi - i heard about Emergin C on the weekend and am now overwhelmed by the product range. my issues are mainly skin tone, fine lines on my cheeks and heavier lines around my eyes. generally my skin is in good condition but the ageing is getting to me. i'm 34. what products should i use to start out with. currently i'm using all dermalogica with a regular facial but the ageing isn't being addressed. any advice would be very welcome. |

Hi Kmoray!
I am not familiar with EmerginC... but picking yourself up a vitamin c serum is a great idea if you are committed to seriously dealing with signs of aging...I am familiar with both Cellex C and Vivier vitamin C serums. While I have only been using the Vivier for a week I am just loving it because of (a) the texture, which leaves my skin feeling nice and comfortable, not like it desperately needs a moisturizer (like I did after the Cellex C application)and (b) I think that my skin looks even brighter - and that's from a bona-fide, long-term vitamin c serum user who already thought her skin was bright!...Can you tell I like the Vivier?! Oh yes - and you can incorporate your C serum into your Dermalogica regime if you want to use up your Derm..- no problem! If you want to try something other than Dermalogica - I'm using Strivectin SD...which I adore - I have gotten tremendous results from it around the eye area....I also think the Orlane line has excellent anti-aging treatments(and there's a fab gift right now)...Alpha Derma CE is another popular one!
You'll get lots of advice from other members, I'm sure!
Good luck!

kmoray - welcome to the forum!
I'm not familiar with EmerginC either (although I did once use a lovely mask of theirs...) but I think the most important things for you at the moment would be (a) a good exfoliator if you don't already use one, (b) a good vitamin C serum (will help with skin tone and hopefully lines as well), and, (c) a good sunblock to use in the mornings (again assuming that you don't already use one).
All of these things you can incorporate with your Dermalogica regime so you don't need to buy a whole range of new products. I also prefer the Vivier vitamin C serums in terms of texture and stability and I highly recommend those. I think you should also try to figure out if your current moisturiser is doing a good enough job and if you are having enough of water intake. Both things can affect your skin and can cause little dehydration lines to appear. |
