I am using Obagi nu derm. If you google you should see amazing testimonials. I wanted better skin & my derm recommended this before any laser treatment. Hth

Where to start..

I'd say keep it simple to start with..
- deep cleanse at night when you've had make up on (many people on here like OCM (oil cleansing method) though didn't work for me personally. I prefer a balm cleanser out of the pot)
- make sure you tie your hair back loosely at night and your pillowcase is changed often
- clarisonic 3-5 mornings a week (with a foam cleanser)

And go from there!

Clarisonic is amazing.

Also have a look at any issues with your digestion. It's the source of so much.

First, consult a dermatologist to know what is causing your breakouts and other skin problems.
Once you know, then he can create a regimen that is right for you (since he is a skin doctor, right?).

My suggestion would be in general...
-eat healthy foods (no junk pls);
-drink lots of water (no sugared drinks if possible);
-sleep at least 8hours if you can;
-clean your face AM/PM with foaming cleanser ideal for your skin type;
-use a moisturizer that is ideal for your skin type.
-use a sunscreen to protect your skin.

FYI, EDS sells a lot of good skin-care products suitable for any skin types. I hope this helps Smile

I would also start on a retinoid, which will definitely help with the dull skin and whiteheads. It might take about 2-3 months, but you will absolutely see a difference!

Jom, a user on EDS, recently recommended Marie Veronique's retinol serum. It sounds fabulous. I would use it, but I'm halfway through a bottle of Skinmedica's retinol. I really like it, too.

You should try a product that contains hyaluronic acid, its amazing! I use Kate somerville´s line, most of her products usually contains that ingredient.

Hi tindra1816: When using hyaluronic acid, what are you trying to improve on your skin?
And when do you apply it, morning or night or both AM/PM? Thanks Smile

I've been using it everyday, my skin is glowing, oil is under control, anti aging and my skin tone has dramatically improved since I started using products that contains hyaluronic acid. It's excellent for moisture, you can use it in your hair as a moisturizer as well. My hair has never been so soft and manageable. I am in love with this stuff. It's definitely a part of my everyday beauty regimen. I got a serum because I was starting to see little lines in my face and wrinkles in my forehead. They are practically invisible now. I use my serum at night so it will go in deep while Im a sleep but It probably depends on what product you use.

Hi tindra1816 Smile I use it too ocassionally but cocktail it with other creams, not really on its own (don't know why!). But this is my routine and maybe not for everyone, depending on your particular circumstances.....

I am not one that gets a lot of zits nor acne but everytime I do it leaves a small scar/hole in my skin...Although my teenager is going through a period now where he is getting lots of forehead bumps and a few on his face. The best OTC I have found is Oxy Spot Treatment....inexpensive and won't hurt to give it a try

Ishu: There are 2 types of extraction tools that you can buy at Walmart where you can remove blackheads or whiteheads or pimples so you don't have to use your fingers. You can use these extraction tools so you don't damage your skin when you extract these blemishes. Make sure that when you use these, you need alcohol to clean the area first.

But even then, you still need to know what is causing these breakouts. So you really need to consult a dermatologist or a skin doctor. The more you know what is causing these breakouts, the more you will be able to tackle the problem.

This is one type of extraction tool...
