I use APC over any of my serums. Daytime, over Stable Double C and LNL Eye Serum. Nighttime, over Blue Heaven and LNL Eye Serum. Mixing it with a little Sea Minerals Boost thins the APC out enough to make it spread more easily.

I found that mixing APC with the OSEA Oil = zits & is too much for my skin, but YMMV. I got a travel kit from OSEA with cleanser, APC, face oil and Sea Mineral Boost just to try it. Love APC and Sea Mineral Boost!

I wanted to love Osea but it did not go well with me.

I bought the Ocean Cleanser & Cleansing Mudd and found both of them burned my skin like xxxx, worse than high percentage of chemical peel & I had to washed it off instantly.

Maybe I have allergy of the sea algae extract.

ETA: I think that they are great products but not for my skin.

FYI Osea cleansers are very concentrated with essential oils, which can cause a burning sensation on the skin. I frequently experience this when I use the mud after using a retinoid several nights in a row. It can indeed be painful and worrisome, but I've never, EVER experienced any redness or irritation afterward. It's just a sensation that is produced on the skin if your skin is in a sensitive state. That may not be the case with you, summer2004, but let us know if it produced an actual reaction (ie bumps/redness). I think the burning sensation can be quite normal if you've used an acid on your skin. That said, I understand how unpleasant such a sensation can be. As long as I emerge glowing and poreless, however, I'm all for it. Wink

avalange,

I share the same thought with you about the use of acid.

I bought the Osea cleanser when I had just started Retin-A, so I guess you are right.

That said, I can't recall if I had redness on my skin.

By the way, do you have burning sensation when you use the Advanced Protection Cream and toner/mist etc? In view of the rave review of the AP Cream, I want to try it but am afraid of the irritation.

Marcia,

APC (Advanced Protection Cream) is wonderful, and I'm never without Eyes and Lips on my person. I have wrinkle-less skin at age 37. I would also absolutely recommend the large algae oil, which is a superb deal because it is so multipurpose. I add it to APC, use it as a night time moisturizer, put a few drops in the bath, and use it as a body moisturizer. I also use it to take off makeup. It smells heavenly and is really healing and makes your skin glow all over.

APC firms the skin and gives you a satiny (ie not shiny) visage. Many report (myself included) that it's the one moisturizer you will feel comfortable wearing on its own (no powder, foundation, nothing!) because it makes your skin look so good. There are cumulative benefits to all the actives in the cream, too.

I have been playing with the 2 toners and really like them both. My skin feels great and I enjoy using them. I especially like using enough product that the skin feels wet.

Undaria Algae Oil smells like lime initially, but, since citrus is such a fleeting scent, after it fades in a few seconds all I smell is "Dr Scholl's Foot Powder". Not a bad smell but not something I want hanging around me very long. Its a nice oil but doesnt smell all that great.

Advanced Protection Cream is still my favorite but Im sure I could dupe it!

fawnie,

I've never smelled Dr Scholl's anything, so am blissfully unaware of any affinities in scent. I love the scent though! I think it smells really pure and is very light and fresh.
I just put in a new order and got the Salt of the Earth body scrub on a whim, so will be reviewing it when I get a chance to use it. It looks divine.

Now Im intrigued by that body scrub avalange! I love all of OSEA's products.

The Algae Oil is v nice for smoothing and moisturizing skin and the scent does fade, so I continue to use/like it. Its nice to reapply during the day to my neck and face and hands under my various creams and balms. Uber-hydrating layer! Thx for posting about this brand.

I havent tried OSEA Blemish Balm but they did send me a sample of Red Algae Mask. Last time I had a blemish (from using silicone-laden products, ugh) a dab of Red Algae Mask helped to clear it up without drying out the surrounding skin. Didnt make my skin irritated at all but did flatten and clear up the blemish over the course of a few nights. Its a flesh-colored (well for Caucasian flesh anyway) paste that blends in well and even conceals the blemish a bit.

Me likey! OSEA Eyes & Lips is a staple now for me. And I *make* skin potions! V impressed with it. Its a simple brand but works for me. Im a simple girl.

Thanks for that. I have been reading up on marine products and this line sounds great.

OSEA Malibu is one of my all time favorite lines out there. It was founded by Jenefer Palmer and is a Marine based skin care line created out of Malibu California. It is an all natural product and when you use it you feel rejuvenated and clean.
I have dry skin... It is really hard for me to keep it up and to feel any kind of moisture. So, at lest once a week I exfoliate with the Undaria Body Polish. Then, when my skin is still wet and I get out of the bath or shower, I will mix the Ocean Lotion and Undaria Algae Oil. You dont need too much just about a pump of each. Undaria Algae blocks the enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid. It is amazing because OSEA has so many products that contain this oil. My favorite creme in the planet is the Advanced Protection Cream. I use it at night and when I wake up my skin is dewy and plump! My second favorite is the Essential Hydrating Oil. I love the hydration it gives me, but the natural germicidal effect is my favorite part, because it leaves me feeling hydrated but not greasy! I love referring every product to my clients, but everyone that I have introduced the White Algae Mask to can not thank me enough... it is heavenly and the best quick fix for a radiant glow. Hope you fall in love with the line as much as I have!
