I have oily, acne prone skin that needs a lot of maintenance to prevent pimples. Glycolic acid peels have always worked for me in the past so I was excited to use this.
I tried using this once daily and then after a month, twice daily. I did notice my skin looks fresher after I used it and believed it helped somewhat with the texture of my skin. But for oily skin (acne prone), it didn't work in preventing pimples. I gave it at least 2 months to see if it would change my skin.
While it didn't irritate my skin, it didn't do anything for my pimples. Actually, I had two of the biggest pimples I've had in years a couple weeks into using this. My skin is naturally prone for pimples of this size and have to use certain cleansers to maintain it. So the cleanser twice daily (for over a month) was like not really washing my face at all when it came to my pimples. BUT when used once in the morning (to have fresh, dewier skin) and a Salicylic acid cleanser (for acne) at night. I've been able to fight it off better.
Really, the salicylic cleanser (Neutrogena oil free acne wash) has been keeping my acne at bay but the jan marini cleanser will really help making sure my skin isn't so patchy and dry in the morning.

One note, benzoyl acid does not work well with glycolic acid. Benzoyl acid can cancel some of the effects of glycolic acid. I am very acne prone and this cleanser is more of a 3.5 star product.
