Disappointing on both fronts. |
I agree that it is disappointing. I have bought a bunch of different products from Amazon and never run into any problems but I don't think I have bought any makeup or skincare products from them before. That really stinks about the review not being published. So many places that you can no longer trust that the reviews are upfront. |

Until we hear back from James, is there any OTC pen device that is recommended as of yet?
Eta: Bellus site is still not open. |
Fawnie, you may have missed my earlier posts - but Palacia Beauty Device is now selling the Korean My-M - this is the one also recommended by Bellaire. I've purchased devices from both Bellaire and Palacia and they're reputable companies.
Note: I'm not recommending the Korean My-M because I haven't used it - I'm still using the Chinese knock-off My-M which I'm perfectly happy with. But, considering the hit and miss quality of many of the OTC devices, I think the Korean My-M would be the best bet. |

Thx Keliu. Was gonna ask you about yours.
ASSuming I can get a refund for the one I got, Ill look into this one.
Palacia also sells this Mesopen which looks like the more upscale version of what I bought on evilBay:

Sez they require Professional License in order to buy it from them. But they dont say "what" profession! XD
Totally off subject but r/t outrageous spa prices: a local spa is charging $15USD for a NOSTRIL WAX!! Yipes! how much does THAT hurt??? |

Well my My-M clearly said on the box "made in China". I think we can reliably presume that all of those on Ebay and Alibaba.com are manufactured in China - just because of the cheaper price.
The ones sold by Bellaire and Palacia are guaranteed to be the Korean models and both sites state to be aware of fakes. I'm certain that both companies would not risk their reputation by selling a fake under the guise of a brand name model. |

Here is where I bought mine...the ad says "Korea Made Auto Microroller Motorized Skin Theraphy MTS Roller Needle MY-M" but we all that means nothing, sigh. Mine does say My-M on it, though I saw others with no brand name that said made in China.
It also came with an inset from Segawe which is a Chinese wholesaler of beauty supplies.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTO-DERMA-MICRO-NEEDLE-STAMP-0-25MM-2-0MM-NEW-ADJUSTABLE-12-NEEDLES-MY-M-M-/330843558557
Regardless, I have had no issues and it is definitely working so I will keep it until it dies. FYI that I do NOT reuse needles, so that may help a bit. |

What did your box look like? Mine is this odd reddish pink thing which had no outside label...I am going to go look at the bottom and see if it says anything.
ETA: no label or anything on my box. However, I did notice on the instructions that 1) the pic of pen did not say My-M on it, and 2) none of the instructions say My-M. Knockoff is most likely correct, lol.
Here is a link to what my box looked like, MINUS the My-M label on the top.

Mine also came in the reddish-pink box. The device has the My-M logo on it and looks identical to the genuine model (although I've only seen photos not the real thing). Here's the pic of the Palacia one:
http://www.palaciabeautydevice.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=0043-Microneedle
Here's the pic of the Bellaire one:
http://www.bellaireindustry.com/microneedle.html
Note that the Palacia site states that they are an authorised dealer.
My My-M looks identical to those two pics - but I'm sure it's a fake.
ETA: In the instruction leaflet the picture does not have the My-M logo on the device and it is called a "Derma Stamp Electric Pen". |

I've no doubt that the knock-offs are identical to the name-brand ones - the only question would be on quality. I've been to the place in Shen Zhen in China where they sell all the fake handbags. They have low-end fakes and high-end fakes - the high-end fakes are pretty much unrecognisable from the real thing.
I'd love to try the Korean My-M to see if the operation really is superior to the fake. |

I don't have the box with me, but iirc, I checked it and didn't find any "made in xx" anywhere on it. It's also a pinky red, with a flap closure (maybe magnetized?)
I'm curious what your grips feel like? Mine has a very satiny, almost rubbery feel to it. like it's oily, but it's not. Sound familiar?
Oh, and I'm pretty happy with mine...though of course I have nothing to really compare it to, other than a manual roller. |

Mine came in the same reddish-pink box with no My-m label on the front. It does say My-m on the pen but my numbers on the needles depth adjuster look like the knock off picture. I am quite sure it is not the real thing but works ok for me for right now.
Bacchus-the grip on mine sounds just like yours. It also doesn't have made in xx anywhere on it. |

Here is what mine looked like in the box:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/740517249/MY_M_Korea_derma_pen_handheld.html
Note that it is referred to as the Korea Derma Pen" but Place of Origin is listed as Guangdong China.
I'd bet my bottom dollar that our models are all made in China - whether the word Korea is used in relation to them or not.'
To buy the genuine My-M, you'd have to go to an authorised dealer such as Bellaire or Palacia.
Anyway, I'm happy with the fake at the moment! |

Mine is in a pinky red box with My-M microneedle therapy on the front like in the pictures on the Korean ones, but I bet its fake too! It has the latex grips at the side. |

From all I can tell, y'all are happy with your My-M pens, "real" or not, and no one's torn her hide off yet with them. In fact, everyone looks pretty good! So why would I want to spend $500 on the "Real" My-M pen?
I realize its a pig in a poke whether I'd get a "good" fake or a dud, but for $85 its worth a shot, no? Even my $125 SkinPen dupe hasnt really done any harm ... just not as effective or powerful as Id hoped. When it works. |

If it's any consolation, these eBay My-M pens appear to be coming down in price. At the beginning of the year, when I got mine, they were around $100 - $125...now I see them on there for about $30 less.

In China, I saw it cost USD 690/set, not sure if it is a knock-off or not. |

Oh, well, whoops...latexy? Feels a little bit like a certain other 'device' I have made of latex, but yeah, maybe not exactly. Similar I thought. Rubbery. |
