I'm wondering if the Tanaka massage can be done with sunblock, will the sunblock absorb better with the massage or lose effectiveness after the massage?

What an interesting idea. If it is a chemical sunscreen (not zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide based) then the massage might help it absorb better. I mean, theoretically. If you use a zo/td sunscreen, then the extended rubbing-in time might help with the white cast (if it has one.)
Either way, I would prefer to just use a moisturizer if I massaged with a leave-on product. Sunscreens are all about even application, and I imagine the tanaka method would cause a lot of unevenness. |

| I do it in the shower - using facial cleansing milk and water for lubrication. That way you can make as much mess as you like. Then when applying products I use movements which are similar to the Tanaka method e.g. rubbing the creams towards the outside of my face and down. |
