After reading the posts about using Cure Gel & EM for softer hands, I purchased the EM. At first I thought this is cheaper version of my beloved Decleor Balms, which it is most definitely not. Used it for a week on my hands but didn't see any dramatic difference except very greasy bedsheets!
However, it's a great cream for the one thing I have been needing. After doing an overnight AHA treatment or even overusing tretinoin, my skin has small peeling patches all over that no amount of exfoliation, Clarisonic or microfiber cloths can remove.
Restarted using EM because it is supposed to heal skin so figured it couldn't hurt the peeling skin. But what I found is that it actually loosens up the peeling layer after a few hours of soaking in and allows me to just sort of lift it off without tearing the skin underneath - yeah, I know that sounds incredibly gross but if you have dry peeling skin like me then you'll understand the significance of this treatment.
Seems unsanitary to have a jar packaging so maybe they can make it more creamy and put in a tube or at least in a stick form. Otherwise, it's reasonably priced and works well. Works better than Decleor Balms for this one purpose and a whole lot cheaper too.
Would love to hear how from everyone else how you make this cream effective for dry skin! |

I use Decleor Balms as a sealant over creams and oils. For dry skin, the best is the Iris Aromatic Balm. I was developing a wrinkle under my right eye but when I apply Shiseido Benefiance Eye Cream (the old version) and then press a teeny amount of the Iris Balm, that wrinkle plus any crows feet literally disappears. It's incredible.
I put my 75 year old Mom on Decleor products about four years ago when she started to get kinda old looking with a turkey neck and wrinkles. Up until then she had firm unlined skin but had started swimming daily outside and the sun and chlorine just aged her. She looks amazing now and attributes it to Decleor (she's also using many other products I've introduced to her but she swears by Decleor).
You have to get the proper balm for your skin type - I wouldn't recommend someone in their 20s using the Iris Balm. The Oils are really potent too - much better than argan, baobob, jojoba, coconut - well I've tried pretty much every oil in every price range. Decleor is the best but can be very pricey.
That's the reason I tried out the Egyptian Magic as some people said it is like Decleor - NO WAY! But EM is still good and highly recommended as a daily slap-on treatment,hahahahaha. |

Depends where you are. In Hong Kong, it is $25 for the large jar. In the US it's $37 at Whole Foods. Maybe try eBay but I can't recommend a seller as I don't like to buy jar items off eBay in case they have been opened. The EM jar does have a plastic seal on the lid. |

I have never bought a full jar of this myself, but once I had an old coworker ration me out some of hers into a small container. It was very healing and smoothing for my wintery legs. 
The only problem is that there aren't any studies on it (that I'm aware of) and there's no such thing as a vegan alternative for it. I'm not personally a vegan, but a great deal of the population where I live is. |

| I threw mine away. Olive oil isn't a healthy oil like we've been told; it lower metabolism, even in small amounts. I use coconut oil instead. |

| It is a nice all-around product that you can use for many things. One thing that I find it is amazing for--when you (or your kids) get that red, irritated thing around the nose during the winter and/or when you have a cold. For me, anyway, it will fix that up like nothing else. |

My local Costco had Egyptian Magic in stock this weekend. It was 4 oz. plus a 2 oz. for $39.99.
I know all Costco's carry different items but you might what to look if you like this product.
The sku# is 655658. If you want to call and check at the store near you. I'm not sure they use the same numbers nation wide but I would think they would. |

I still have half a tub somewhere.... 
I didnt like it...I dont know if it was because I dont like the packaging (sad but true it is an influence) ...it didnt have a nice fragrance or that I didnt think it did much at all....should find it and use it on my legs or something.... |

| IMO EM is like a great shoe polish for my skin. I use it and coconut oil..interchange them.. i think there is something right about using oils on the skin. I'd love to try some avocado oil and see what that does. I think I read a thread a long time ago where a woman used that and it got rid of her skin tags. (gross ..but hey?) |

I've never been a fan of EM and much prefer One Love Organics Skin Saviour balm:
Ingredients: organic cocos nucifera (virgin coconut) oil, organic glycine soja (sweet soy) seed oil, organic beeswax, mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, salvia hispanica (chia) seed extract, avena sativa (oat) extract, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel wax, simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil, organic vanilla planifolia fruit extract, tocopherol (natural, non-gmo vitamin e)

| Another similar product is Sweet Bee Magic made by Medicine Mamas Apothecary. I like the consistency better than EM -- it's slightly creamier. I got mine on Amazon for cheaper than the website. It's $30 for 4 oz on the company's website. |

Actually, there has been research on bee pollen, propolis and royal jelly.

I also like EM.
I use it around my eyes on my serum nights several days a week.
It preserves moisture better than any cream. And i wake up with less lines.
Too bad i can't use it day time 
I wouldn't complain on price either. I bought it 2 years ago and still didn't get to the middle of the jar. It's huge! |

I could never use this on my skin as a moisturizer, but I've used it for cracked skin and small cuts. It works, but same with Rosebud.
I think EM has propolis and that is a very good natural ingredient and very good to take interally. It taste horrible, so I don't take it.  |

| I like this stuff when I get a really red irritated rosacea spot, seems to help calm it down a bit but I don't think it's really that great? It's kind of...blah? I try it on my hands when I think about it but again, mostly blah results..? |

| EM has a place. For the healing process of chapped skin; as a barrier product, in place of Vaseline. It is the perfect lip barrier product, if you are skiing; even before lipstick to smooth and create a more emollient lip(instead of a chapstick or other product). Also as a protective product in a sore area. It is not to be used in place of appropriate skin care. It may work as an undereye product (like Vaseline) but I've never used it in that manner. |
