I have a chemical peel in just under two weeks to deal with the aftermath of moderate acne PIH and uneven skintone. The peel is Enerpeel TCA 25%.
I've been using Retin-A for around two months which I've read is recommended leading up to a peel, however the clinic that is performing the peel has recommended me pretty expensive products in the TebiSkin range(Sooth-Clean and Gluage). My question is, is this necessary or beneficial? It would run me over £100 for just these two products alone so i'm a little skeptical here on the need for it judging by what i've read.
Also, as a side note: what is the recommended time to discontinue the use of Retin-A before the peel and how close to the peel should I shave my face?
Thanks alot, the threads and informative responses on here have helped me to no end throughout the battle with my skin! |
