Hi I just bought a serum that contains an EGF. I didn't know it had it until after I purchased. I have an autoimmune skin disorder - when my skin is exposed to uv light for too long mainly artificial but also sun I get an inflamed, prickly swollen sensation in my face. Even with low watt bulbs!
In reading up on EGF's it sounds like they actually cause inflammation. But in other reading it says it causes healing?? I also read it causes hair loss.
I'm now afraid to try the serum. The other ingredients sound awesome. It's collagen serum by Skin Actives.
I really want to use but kind of scared to. The inflammation from my skin disorder has, over time, caused lots of skin damage – hyperpigmentation, skin laxity, & more - despite my avoidance of light and use of sunscreens and healthy habits. So based on that, it would seem to me that anything that causes inflammation would in the long run, cause more damage. My damage didn’t show up right away but accumulated over time. I now use a copper peptides and a vit c product at night in an effort to try and counteract the damage and it seems to be helping but I need more help.
I wsa so looking forward to adding the collagen serum until I saw the EGF. So what’s the story does it do more harm than good in the long run, does anyone know?? |
