I've been away a while and was wondering if anyone has heard about products with a higher concentration of argireline. I've been using ADCE for a while now and I have one spot that drives me crazy. Right between my eyebrows, particularly on my left side I've noticed that I tend to scrunch up a lot and there is definitely a line forming that nothing seems to help. I remember someone mentioned a while ago something about a 15% solution being tested or test-marketed or something...anybody know???
I was also wondering about a higher % solution of C. Currently I use the C + Firming Serum (12%). I'm turning 56 this year and ready for the more powerful products. One day my neck seems to look great and the next day, the lines are infinite. I love my ES masque but its just not enough. Maybe the problem is that I still think I'm in my 30's or 40's...dream on.... |

I know Mabsy's mother uses the 20% Vit. C with AlphaDerma and seems very happy with the results.
As far as 15% Argireline ... I will wait to hear it's safe from the experts before I would use it on my face. Personally, I think that the higher percentage of Argireline would not make that much of a difference. I have been so satisfied with the results that I have received from taking such good care of my skin. Without going under the knife there is no cure for some aging of the skin. I am sure that if you compared your skin to other woman your age that you look darn good. |

Hi Nanapost!
I've used the Aloette Line Relief Concentrate (I've gone through 2 bottles - about 2 months worth). It's carries a 15% concentration of argirelene. Following the Aloette, I moved on to the Vivier Topical Muscle Relaxant (10% concentration). I yielded FAR superior results with the Vivier product. As a matter of fact, I got very minimal results with the Aloette. I was so disappointed in fact, that I was hesitant to try the Vivier:-s ...I was totally turned off argirelene...(but I'm glad I didn't turn away from it permanently!) Re: vitamin C - I'm 40 and I use the Vivier C serum 20 and I use it very comfortably - no irritation whatsoever....If I were you, I'd experiment with a higher VC concentration for sure but be hesitant about exceeding the 10% argirelene standard. I did, and got shabby results.
Good Luck!

This quote from an article on Argireline is very informative in determining why some products work better than others.
How do you choose what's right for you? According to beauty advisers in the know, the best bet is to go for a formula that has the optimum concentration (around the 10 per cent mark) and look for other, more traditional wrinkle-fighting ingredients like antioxidants (Vitamins A, C, and E) in the mix, and few to no irritants like SD alcohol.
I know that Esthers Secret masque and serum, as well as ADCE both fulfill all those requirements. I'm sure that some others do, as well, but can only speak about the products that I know about for sure.

Indeed, as Winnie pointed out, my mum uses the Vivier 20% serum in combination with the Alphaderma (and prep gel) and she' very happy. I have also used the Vivier 20% myself in the past and have had no irritation at all, I highly recommend it. |

Maybe its just that after 3 months, it really started showing results! I think I'll follow the advice of our forum sages and stick with the 10% solution of argireline (for the time being anyway ) and move up to a 20% C serum like Vivier. I think I just have a super strong muscle crunch that, unfortunately, I use a lot. And you're right Winnie, I know that I don't look my age but I still want to slow down the process as much as possible. My nearly 15 year old son likes to kid me about my age in front of his friends ("guess how old my mom is") but I do think its because he thinks I look younger, even though he'd never admit it to me!
Thanks for the advice. |

Nanapost,
I wouldn't be surprised if moving up to the 20% C is just the boost you need. Sometimes after using a products for a while just the slightest change can make a big difference. Please report back to us. After I am done with my bottle of CS Rx C I am going to try the Vivier also. Just want to keep you company seeing we are using almost all the same products. |
