i have combination skin, oily t-zone area and dry at the cheeks in the colder months in Canada.
even the slightest rub against an object makes it a little bumpy and red, takes a bit of time for it to go away.
So I'm looking at the decleor line (always wanted to try it), and the following caught my attention:
Decleor Aroma Cleanse Clay and Herbal Cleansing Mask
Decleor Hydra Floral Flower Nectar Moisturizing Cream
Decleor Aroma Cleanse Phytopeel Exfoliating Cream
Decleor Aromessence™ Angelique
Decleor Aroma Cleanse Essential Tonifying Lotion
Decleor Aroma Cleanse Fresh Matifying Lotion
Decleor Aromessence Neroli Essential Serum
i know i know that's a lot of products i've listed decisions decisions.
Thanks! |

MY ALL-TIME fave is Angelique. I had a huge tub of it and just now ran out so I am using the Ylang Ylang from time to time. Very gentle, soothing and hydrating. It just soaks in. |

I use Ylang Ylang when my skin is broken out but still needs hydration. I have not used the Neroli. |

When I used to be able to afford it, I used the Ylang Ylang oil as well as the Ylang Ylang Night Balm and the Essential Balm (not sure if they still have this balm anymore).
Ylang Ylang is best for combination/oily skin while Neroli is good for all skin types...however, if you tend on the dry side, the Ylang Ylang could potentially dry your skin out. I used the Essential night balm to add some extra moisture in the winter time because the YY balm and oil got to be too drying during the cold months.
For me, Decleor took commitment and I saw results when I stuck to it...your skin will balance out depending on what your needs are, but it will take time. The best results with Decleor are when you use it consistently and continuously. I loved Decleor, but I could not justify the cost at that point (and having just visited the Decleor website, I see the cost of a bottle of Ylang Ylang is almost $70!!! It was $48 not a few years ago...oh my good gracious, looks like EDS is STILL the place to get it). |

thanks guys for all your input and advice!
im using the neroli now (got the gift set, good value..im a sucker for discounted products).
I don't usually use serums so how do you know if the serum is doing its job or working for you? if you automatically apply a moisturizer after it? how can you tell if its only the moisturizer working well for your skin?
So far I enjoy and like the decleor products, find them quite moisturizing. Unfortunately hard for me to tell which particular one is the best since I started using a few of the decleor products on the same day.
Time to do some separation tests |
