Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has a list/knows of where I can find an extensive product list of shampoos and shower gels with respective ph levels? I am looking for acidic balanced products (4.0-5.5) since anything above that messes up my skin, scalp and hair. I had high hopes on several products that claimed to be proper skin/hair balanced, but they all turned out to be way higher. I have also tried contacting some companies and so far only one has gotten back to me...at this rate will be 2014 when I hear back from most of them lol Few that I wanted to like, but are way over the limit 5.5 ph level are:
Dr Bronners
Yes to lines
Shikai
Johnson & Johnson baby head to toe
Aveeno (at least six I tried)
Nivea (at least five of them)
Hope to get some responses on this...thanks! |

There was a thread some time back on pH friendly body washes
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=36304
Not a lot of info, sadly.. but Akin and Alba have some body washes that are "pH balanced" and I believe all the EO brand shampoos and body washes are "pH balanced". I do rather like the EO peppermint & tea tree liquid hand soap. Of course "pH balanced" is little more than a marketing term, so you'd have to email for exact pH.
All Sebamed products are 5.5 pH, but contain ingredients not popular with many EDS members (myself included). Still I often carry their face and body wash in my travel bag, as it's a small bottle and easier than carrying separate face and body cleansers when travelling. Don't use it at home though. |
