I'll be going south for vacation very soon, likely first week of february. I want to enjoy the sun a bit but I'm worried that it may really harm my skin. I'm about 2 weeks into the nu derm routine. So if i stop using the products now for the next two to three weeks, will that be enough time to cool my skin down and allow me to get a tan without any lasting damage?
I have always been very careful with my skin and never tan and am always lathered in sun screen. I' love the tanned look, but I'm not risking skin damage to bake under the sun to get that. But this vacation is a first for me and I don't really want to be hiding from the sun either. So is it safe for me to get a light tan?
Thanks! |

The NuDerm protocol is not compatible with sunbathing. I would stop using it now, and be sure to wear lots of sunscreen on your vacation. |

There are some really great fake tan products out there now. I've liked St. Tropez. Search EDS for "sunless tan" and you should find more. A facial bronzing powder is another option.
I know others who go to a spa and get a fake tan before vacation. They look incredible and very real. Cheaper than dealing with the residual skin damage from tanning. |
