My skin started to break out like crazy ( after a facial... ).
I am looking for a good deep pore cleanser that would be gentle on my dry skin.
I tried Md Foundations Facial cleanser but it wasnt very good for my skin...The discribtion of the product says its ok to use on dry skin however it was way too drying.

Didn't you have a deep cleansing facial? I would suspect that this is why your skin is breaking out in the first place...
I think it's going to be hard for you to find an AHA/BHA cleanser that does not dry out your skin. Both AHA and BHA ingredients do dry out the skin. I have found the PCA Skin cleanser to be less drying than the MDF one, but neither of those have BHA afaik. If you have dry skin then maybe you should look into getting YonKa Creme 15 and YonKa Juvenil instead of AHAs and BHAs? |

Mabsy,
You are right, I had a facial and that casued me to breakout real bad. I dont see any more new spots, but the other ones are still red and trying to heal. I hope that this is the end of it. Never again will I get a facial
I am not sure what to do from now on, on the normal basis I have a ton of blackheads on my chin and nose, and then a couple of spots that special time of the month.
Maybe like you say I should try some other cleanser for dry skin. I just want to make sure that it wont be too harsh and that at the same time it will clear the pores and blackheads. I have Dr H cleansiong cream, but I havent opened it yet...
I am thinking about getting Decleor EB or YY to help with clearer skin. But I also need a good gentle face wash.
I also would like to get the Dermalogica microfoliant ( got a sample from EDS, was a little drying but I could use it 3 x week )
What do you think?

Aga,
I don't think it's unusual to experience breakouts after a deep cleansing treatment. Particularly if don't use any deep cleansing treatments on a regular basis. Perhaps if you got those facials regularly then the breakouts would actually eventually stop.
I would suggest that you give the Dr H cleansing cream a go first. It worked super for me and wiped out blackheads. I know that the Cleansing Cream seems to be a 'love it or hate it' thing but I think so far the majority of people were positive about it. You just need to give it two weeks of 2x daily use before you give up on it. And, yes, some more breakouts are possible with it as it does clean out the pores. |
